cant go to frost dale

i reinstalled my game recently and when i loged in again i could not access my characters in frostdale so i tried the rest of them and they all worked fine loged on on my wifes computer and every thing was fine got my characters out of frost dale and ran around for a while took one back to frostdale and the game crashes every time i try to log in with one in frostdale or if i try to transiton on the ferry to there it also did this in the formians
i have tryed reinstalling and updating again and the critical rebuild for 1.66 am running out of ideas

or some other kind of video problem, if it dont happen to everyone else

no it worked fine with the card i have its nivida even with the shiny water but i dont have it on any way i installed the platnum edition be cuase i wanted to be able to play at the same time as my wife with a diferent cd key
