I am hoping someone with more knowledge then me can answer a couple shifter questions.
1. in vampire form I have noticed that the DC against level drain seems to vary between 24-27. it was my understanding that the dc is set to 30, and besides that what spells/equipment can you use to increase the dc
2. the vampire gaze, is it non functional due to Bioware or diabled in NS
3. similar to 1, what can you do to raise the dc on all abilities, like the Rakshasa dispel magic, illithid mind blast, etc
4. I think I figured out that restoring of hp when the form looks like it is reseting, you do get back the temporary hp but it only seems to happen when you are at or above your hp.. say you shift then you r at 340/310 if at the time the form resets your hp r 310+ then it seems to reset but below nothing happins
5. I am using a keen scimitar and when I change to risen lord the crit range is extended as though keen (from 20 to 19-20) but in other forms the keen does not show, I am not including unarmed combat, Rakshasa staff, kobold shortsword. I forgot to test with drow but is it because they are both slashing weapons so it can combine?
Thanks in advance if anyone has additional shifter q’s feel free to add them maybe we can turn this thread into a big faq for shifters
Shifter FAQ
If you don't find answers to your questions here, or if you have tough questions that are not NS4-specific, make sure to check on the General NWN forums. There are plenty of people there who know a ton about shifters, and there's even a giant thread that people come back to (I believe it's called "Zelle's Shifter Details" version # something or other.

I can’t remember the name but I know what guide your taking about. These are just a few leftover questions that I couldn’t find the answers to, but mainly I do not know what changes, if any NS has made to the forms or their abilities.
You should have seen the number of questions I had before

here is the link to zells guide, its huge post but answers a ton of questions

Re: Shifter FAQ
this one i know. 'magical' effects on weapons (including the bonus damage, keen, elemental damage and on-hit effects in NS) transfer to some shapes but not others (as a general rule armed shapes will merge weapon bonuses but unarmed ones won't). So your risen lord, kobold, drow, minotaur and others will inherit (azer and rakshasa *should* too...).Donan wrote:5. As a side note, the +n enhancement bonus *damage* will be transferred but not to hit. But as most armed shapes have more magical enhancement than +3 anyway you probably won't notice.
