I followed the GOG tutorial found around her somewhere, but I keep getting booted upon trying to log in with a character. Is the 'wait for GOG to send you a valid cd-key after emailing them' an absolute required step? lol -- Are they trustworthy enough to deliver anyways? I don't want to have wasted my money...

Definitely yes and probably yes. Not sure about their response time on weekends (I think they're in some US timezone, probably west coast), but email if your cdkey doesn't come through.

Make sure you're clear it's NWN1, and you want a multiplayer cdkey.

Thread hijack, but i've also done the same thing here. Theyve just sent me my 'multiplayer CD keys' and i'm still being booted on login with them. Is it perhaps a server allowance thing?

NWN has to be closed when dealing with the ini files manually. Key collision is pretty unlikely but possible, there's a only a handful of banned keys, one of which is the gog generic key.
