Crafting
ok, i thought since i am asking a question it would be under the help thread. Anyway.
If i make a lvl 30 rogue/bard tailor and get him up to master artisan for tailoring then i add shadow dancer levels to his repertoire, how does that affect my crafting?

Re: Crafting
If you already mastered the last level of crafting, then you won't be able to upgrade. If a character has one or more levels in Assassin, Blackguard, Cleric, Champion of Torm, Dwarven Defender, Red Dragon Disciple, Paladin, Pale Master, or Shadowdancer, then that character cannot become more that a Craftsman (Level 3) in any tradeskill. Otherwise the character can advance to at least Level 4 (Master Craftsman).

Re: Crafting
There is no bypass to the class selection for MA crafting.. leave the SD out

so i can't upgrade.....but can i continue to make MA craft?
haven't done a MA in anything before so i figure it is similar to the lower levels in crafting.

Re: Crafting
MA crafting isn't anything special. Upgrading to level 30 items is where it is at. If you take sd you can no longer upgrade, so I wouldn't even bother with the crafting unless you just use it for gear on lowbies. The only exception would be fetching and arcane crafting where you can still get useful stuff for all levels without upgrading.

Yes, but the crafted ammys are about the best there is....Rufio wrote:MA crafting isn't anything special. Upgrading to level 30 items is where it is at. Why would I want to count 12 hours twice? I’m perfectly capable of counting to 24, and while we’re at it, can someone go shoot named time zones. GMT+x is all we need!

Re: Crafting
only point to an Arcane crafter that cant upgrade ammies.. is if you have a lvl 30 MS that canupgrade, then leave the new one at lvl 19-21 and make it your supplier of all wands, rods, staves and scrolls. The lower lvl makes gaining xp far faster than to do it with the lvl 30 version. Atleast thats the way the Stider arcane crafters work.

Re: Crafting
Let's say I want to make a cloth crafter, and the final build is 21 bard/ 5 fighter/ 3 rogue. Does fighter count toward the 29 total lvls required to craft lvl 30 items?

you need 19 levels of a cloth crafting class. and 30 total class levels to fully upgrade.
and you must not include any MA prohibitive classes.. ie shadowdancer for one.

Re: Crafting
A crafter needs only 29 total lvls to craft lvl 30 items, Twig.
I was just checking to make sure that fighter could be used as a cross class in any crafting build.*
As far as I can tell fighters, rogues, and weapon masters, are the only cross classes that can be used in any crafting build.
*An armor, or weapon, crafter need not concern themselves about having fighter as a cross class. They'll already be a fighter.

Re: Crafting
30 makes sense for level 30 gear, though.
