E.g. MA toon raiding SL , hence i assume automatic standing loss . I log a toon to defend and he's blue??? Even though faction npc's are chasing him around main area.
It might be just a load related glitch. Its happened more than a few times . The quick fix is just to switch it in player list...
I've never had a person of my faction that has lost faction become red. Always have to manually do it. Sucks if they crash or battle log too, cuz you have to do it all over again. Not that big a deal if you're playing a non-caster (can just radial menu attack), but if its a caster, talk about a pain :P *reminisces about running around from and sometimes after Vindur :P*

When you have lost faction and log in, all allied and faction pc's are hostile. When a new player logs in of your faction, they will not be hostile.

example...
when i log in and attack SL with an MA character, all the DD's are hostile from my log in. When they relog to defend, they are not hostile. i imagine that it works like this: when i log in the server recognizes that i am hostile to SL, when they relog, the server see's that i am MA, they are not hostile to MA, so it makes us "friends".......... till the hellball me 8(

Thanks everyone, that's making alot of sense now. And ouch, didn't realize the jobs all had to be redone.

Refresh my memory... if you lose friendliness to your own faction, then gain it back (from either a DM or capping relics), can you get your job items back by just talking to the job guy or do you actually have to *do* the jobs again?

Yes.

Just talk to the job boss and get the bonuses and item(s) -if any- back.

You HAVE had to do that in RK if you take the minemaster job 2nd, it kills the other job bonus so you finish that then switch back to the other job and you get the bonuses back instantly.

Same thing used to happen in LA if you lost your status with LA, and managed to get it back, just talking to peppin would normally fix it all -- tho a few people did have it NOT work, but I think that was the result of DMs fiddling with things they didn't understand and wrecking the toon somehow ;)

That may be the case for LA, RK, NC, TC, MA and SL but I wouldn't have the first clue about how to make the AO job tokens useful. :)

Why would I want to count 12 hours twice? I’m perfectly capable of counting to 24, and while we’re at it, can someone go shoot named time zones. GMT+x is all we need!

You guys ever see those timestop grenades in HoK? Those are cool... not sure if they drop though since grenades are weird items.

The poison bombs are great! They leave your opponent flatfooted and blinded while they cry with laughter at our pathetic fumigators. Vaga is right. There is NO save. You absolutely Have to laugh. :)

You're not going to tell us to use them in DWP are ya? ... Rubbish. If your crew got that far they can kill the bugs.

sorry to hijack your thread dazreild (welcome btw). my character has never intentionally transgressed AO yet still I only get 95% of any relic bonus (i.e. 20% is reduced to 19%). I guess I used ice storms sloppily while defending.
