Mouse Movement Speed.

Post by Fatzo »

mmmmm random question ----

prior to now i had always played NS4 on a small 17" flatscreen.... now i have a 22" widescreen :) ....but..... because of this new improved resolution my mouse speed has been slowed in-game and the game itself does not provide a manual speed adjustment ...

i know i could turn it up in my computer...but that would screw everything else i do up totally...

i did find an override in the nwn.ini file ... setting the mouse hardware support setting to 0 instead of the defaulted 1 ... did increase the speed of the pointer in-game .. BUT now there is a second mouse icon (a little hand) that overlaps my current pointer ... and when i target a npc or enemy the one cursor changes but this second glitched cursor does not..... which makes targeting in a crowd or a tight room very aggrivating...

but to keep the slow mouse speed means i have to move my arm halfway across the desk just to move the pointer from one side of the screen to the other...

anyone have / had any issues with this that knows of a remedy to get rid of this redundant mouse pointer ?

thanks :)

I think there's an option for 'hardware cursor' or something... should get rid of the overlaid cursor.

If you have a Logitech mouse, use their setpoint software to alter the mouse speed in certain games/apps. It should be in the control panel.

I dont do this my self since my mouse is sensetive enought that 1.5 inces is al acros my screen, but I've her that if you lift your mouse, you can move it back without moving the actual cursor

Why would I want to count 12 hours twice? I’m perfectly capable of counting to 24, and while we’re at it, can someone go shoot named time zones. GMT+x is all we need!

ooo THAT is what i have been doing wrong all these years ! :D

aye i have determined that there is no way to adjust actual in-game mouse movement.... that hardware change i thought made it move faster...but i was really just imagining things

looks like ill have to create a custom mouse profile and use it for nwn only
