Book didn't work :(

I just tried to use a dex book, but my network stuffed up at just the wrong moment, and it didn't work. I got the little cut scene bit, and I lost the XP, but no +2 dex. Is this something that can be sorted?

If you can provide a screen shot showing possension of said book, it can go a long way towards helping.

Next time you're on, ask a DM to PC check your character as well and we can check if the game says you have used the book, and we can backtrack that from your current stats and try to help.

one thing ive done since books came out take a ss of the book and your toon sheet before use that way if it does somehow not work ( ive had this happen but it fixed itself on a reset ) you got the proof you need to have a DM fix it.

After trying out a couple of wired and wireless routers, I have settled down to a AirLink 101 wired. Easy to install, easier to set up and port forward.

I have had absolutely no problems with it compared to other manufacturers and types of routers.

The Linksys WRT54G has always worked like a champ for myself, except when playing on a LAN with Empire Earth then it gets a little cranky.

I've gotten into the habbit of both screen-shotting before and after, AND recording a video of the whole process with FRAPS.

Ever since I started recording the book-readings, it has worked flawlessly every time. I still weep for the 3 INT books that didn't work -- 3 nerfed toons that I never finished because of that.

Use the journel on yourself and select "Books and Tomes" if it comes up as read then you may be able to get the fix, if not then you may read another book and its probibly a case of stuff happens, move on and make the best of it.

Not yet, I've been busy lately and not had any chance to play. Going to try and squeeze in the time one night this week.

ETA - Managed to get on last night and, thanks to the DM who's name I've forgotten how to spell , it's all fixed up
