A warning of danger!

Post by WarFalcon »

Hear me oh people of Aetheria and hearken unto my words!

I am Vermithrax Draconis, Cleric of Bahamut and Don of the Draconis family of the Dragon Mafia. As I traveled the land I received a visitation from the mysterious wanderer known as Greenbeard Ebonwood. Many times he has brought news of dangers that threaten the various folk of our world, and therefore I paid heed to his words. He bade me to go forth and spread his warning of impending danger so that the people of Aetheria could rouse themselves and be ready to do battle.

These are the words as he spoke them:

“There are other Dragons of Death than the one named “Draco Mortis”. These Dragons of Death have no love for anything living – including their living kin counterparts, contrary to Draco Mortis. Know that some of them have arrived in Aetheria… and they represent a danger to all the Children of the World.”

“They have been summoned here by a powerful being… methinks you know his name already. Spread the word to your kin and those who are not yours. Great dangers are coming.”

Thus he spoke.

Hierarch Primus has but tested us. We must, for a time, put aside our conflicts to face a common enemy lest we ALL be forced to bend our knees to a hated master. If we do not rise to this challenge with the best we can muster NO city, NO guild, NO champion will be safe. We must fight together or fall separately.

I pray the Gods, in their wisdom, stir the valor of the champions of Aetheria and urge them to this task. May they in turn watch over you all and aid us down the path to victory!

I heed your warning respectable one, Hierarch Primus knows not what he does. If we cannot stop this on comming threat, terror will reign over all Atheria. I now debate where this danger will lurk and the intentions of it. Also I vow, on my life to stop this threat.

The Silver Striders stand with the Draconis family to achive victory over these Dragons of Death.

I think Primus knows what he's abou', lad. He's testing our defenses. Till now he didn't break our walls, the meager golems weren't much of a threat, I hardly had to use my axe. But I know what a diversion looks like. And I tell ye he is only playn' with us here.
Now, I'm confident we can put all the quarrels aside for once. I hope even our allies up in the north will support the rest of us. And not raid another city like last time.
I don't know what this Draco Mortis is. Sounds like one of the Dragons of Sleeth got lose again. Wouldn't be the first time. Mark my words.

Your council is unexpected, Draconis, but you speak the truth. Greenbeard Ebonwood has appeared before brothers and sisters of my order and delivered the same message. It appears the people of Aetheria have a common enemy, and a terrible foe at that.

While I have not seen one of these dracolich he speaks of, Greenbeard has been nothing but benevolent in his nature. He has not given me reason to distrust his word.

As the Northern Coalition has vast experience in dealing with all manor of undead, we would undoubtedly be a valuable ally in this impending battle. I cannot speak for the rest of Daeron, but I will pledge CLAD's aid.

I would caution you, child of the wood, from supposing such things. This Hierarch Primus knows exactly what he is doing, and no doubt has a complex plan that he is rapidly composing.

Good dwarf, I would have to agree with you in that the purpose of the machines was only a demonstration. Their numbers were not substantial enough to warrant an assault. But what if they were more? They never breached the gates of Daeron, but had they numbered in the dozens...I quake to think of the loss of innocent life.
Also, your words seem laced with suspicion. I understand that you have difficulty trusting those outside your own kind, but there are more important matters than finger pointing to tend to. Greenbeard's message was a warning to all, Sleeth included.
