Prestige class question

Online i have been hearing all day that you can only have 1 prestige class is my rogue chain being yanked or is this true.

I'll bet the Gods would allow you to pursue the path your heart desires, if the reason is well-intentioned enough :)

I only see one prestige class in that combo. Ranger isn't in MA though so you can't.
