How to join the feast?

Hi guys,

since I have BB access now, I was wondering whether not to give a NWN PW a try. However, I've been unable to locate and connect to NS4 (or any other PW) via GameSpy. Can anybody give me any tips on how to do that? Is it possible to do that without GameSpy (that thing sucks IMHO)?

It doesn't seem to be able to find any servers I could connect to.

you can direct connect to NS4, but that should come later.
1) start nwn
have you patched your version of nwn? should be on ver 1.62
1a) pick update..
2) hit play
3) pick multiplayer
4) join internet game
5) look under the catagory of PW Action in nwn multiplayer internet
5a) make sure you don't have any filters turned on

Any more info on what problems you're having might help, do you have all 3 parts of the game? Are you starting gamespy instead of nwn?

Ragnar's Kin / Ancient Ones
C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwmain.exe +connect ns1.nsrealm.com:5121

Mystral Ascendancy / Shadow Legion
C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwmain.exe +connect ns2.nsrealm.com:5121

Northern Coalition / The Circle
C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwmain.exe +connect ns3.nsrealm.com:5121

The Last Alliance / Areas not on the main continent
C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwmain.exe +connect ns4.nsrealm.com:5121

Click on your start menu, go to your NWN section, and then copy and paste the NWN shotcut to your desk top. Then go to properties and change the target to the above (just make sure you have the proper path to your nwmain.exe file)
I made a folder on my desktop and put each of the shorcuts for each of the servers in it.

Oh, I have NWN installed under F:\NWN\ instead.

Thanks a lot, I figured it out, after patching, the server showed up. Now I only have to find my way around in this new world.

heh, how sympathetic. but this doesn't work here. i had a shortcut to server 4 first cause it's the one mentioned in the faq (or doc, dunno

), and now that i understood it didn't work because 4 is down i tried a string from here to server one but i get an error message. i'll try it without the port, but if somebody could answer per PM i'd still be glad, thanks in advance.

Server 4 content is on server 2 now, try using it.
