What a compliment.
What a compliment.
Tonight, we poor -Slave-'s were paid one of the highest compliments that a little ole guild could receive. We were raided. Now I know people like to take advantage of when there are few or no faction members on to grab relics, heck we do that too. But tonight, wow. What can I say but a huge Thank You.
When we got raided, it started with 1 IO, who did not succeed. Then a couple of TSS tried and we foiled their plans. One might think that would have been the end of it, but no. The next raid paid us homage. IO, TSS and FoN pay us a vist, not just 3 or 4 folks, but around 7 or 8 to start with. We were out numbers 2 or so to 1. Then, if I am not mistaken, a couple more turned up. I'm not sure, we were just a little too busy to take an actual head count. I think there were around 12 raiding during the hieght of the battle.
Us 4 little ole -Slave-'s got our butts handed to us time and time again. We did a lot of respawning. I know the raiders themselves went through a pile of raise dead spells and/or rez scrolls. I know before we respawned we made sure that 3 or 5 of then had their own dirt nap to deal with.
This battle raged on until a couple of relics were stolen and the runners ran with them. As their numbers started to fall so did they. The end result was, they did get away with a couple of relics, but not all.
So from the 4 little ole -Slave-'s that defended I thank you for paying us such a compliment in that you felt you needed 10 or 12 raiders.
To all, this battle was fought old school style. No one healed except 1 person and only 1 time. That was a -Slave-. Before we let him get back into the battle we took him into our special "back room" where he received a royal spanking for doing that. We will do our best to PvP without healing.
PS: It was a huge blast, thank you all.

Indeed it was a glorious battle. Great defending and return raiding by the Slaves and well fought by all. It was a grand old school fight for sure, with very little healing and running away. I hope to see more battles in the future of such magnitude. That was fun for sure. Great job to all!!!

Power is not given. It is taken.

Yeah, great fun - thanks for being good sports and great competition, Slaves. You speak the truth, it was a t least 12 on our side, but you guys kept coming and dishing out at LEAST as good as you got. At one point I resed 4 dead raiders by the door, and I died at least twice (I think Voice was the first, truth be told).
No shouts, no chugging (I will defend to the death the right to chug, but man those pots leave a bad taste in your mouth!), no smacktalk that I heard, just good clean smackdown.
Huzzah, slaves!

Three years of nursery school and you think you know it all.

lol...in general, (1 -slave-) = (3 M.D.)Ade wrote:You guys are good. I think you're generally harder to beat than MD was. In my short time here I don't think I've ever killed a -Slave- player.
slaves and bb are 'hardcore' guilds that only recruit people with a clue... all the other guilds have a range of player abilities.
BUT on the other hand, in relic raiding - it IS a lot harder to ATTACK than DEFEND since when you're defending you can easily respawn and regroup together and come back as a single force, or maintain a steady assault on the attackers. Plus there isn't a penalty for defenders to respawn, and they can relog any toon they want to as the situation changes.

Ly.
Crap.

I need to put this on my calendar then, because if no one either cried foul, claimed the -Slave-s had DM support, or griped about epic defenders, unfair cradle layouts or exploits...then it was indeed a day to remember.
**Edit: Oh, I forgot nerfing on that list.**
We need more days like that.
(We could almost say that there wasn't even any trash-talk on the boards, either...but Celorn just couldn't help himself, I guess...

Well, in a world where you can chain-drink endless potions, the only honouable thing to do is to withhold from drinking in PvP - except possibly when you've been ambushed while engaged with NPC mobs since you WILL lose xp for respawning.
oh, and I have to add an amendment about slaves; 'except if it's redrum, then it's more like 1=1'
