Tome Raider (pun? <.<)

Post by Ade »

In my efforts to reach level 40 and hunt down and kill every player who needlessly PKed me (I'm saving all the names in the game Journal), I think it would be to my benefit to hunt down as many Tomes as possible. My character is a good build for a Paladin so far, but I made a few mistakes early on, so I think hunting more Tomes than the average player would help to make up for the difference.

First, does anyone know if particular Tome drops are area/enemy specific? Here's what I've found so far...

2 Tomes of Clear Thought II, one on the Mountain Trail and one inside that cave atop of Giant Mountain. I don't remember which enemies dropped them. EDIT: Now that I think about it, I think the 2nd Clear Thought II was found on the Mountain Trail, too.

1 Tome of Gainful Exercise II from some type of Ogre on the Mountain Trail.

Please share any Tome findings that are 100% confirmed so that I can hunt in the correct areas. Thanks!

Please let me know when you are on, so I can needlessly pk you. I will then laugh at your feeble attempts at retribution.

It is easy to talk smack when one sits atop the perch of high levels. Just you wait.

You might consider an alternative use for those tomes though: squirrel them away and use them on Ade MkII without mistakes to create MegaAde rather than turning GoodAde into FairlySuperAde.

Well, it's OK. I'll just hunt more of them. I'm a bit of a masochist.

I'm pretty sure specific tomes don't drop in specific areas. I'm also pretty sure that tomes don't drop according to race or class although I seem to run into Con tomes more often than any other tome

I've found that a good way to acquire rare items (tomes included) is to roleplay as much as possible. The gods seem to like that sort of thing.

Tep, usually I use the journal to log what people owe me in gold, but the List of Names thing is Rather Good(TM).

Ade, it might be worth noting that Tome of Stat Increase II's don't stack with eachother. You will have to find some +4 tomes in order to get higher.

And I would agree with Binky, plan out your next build really well with having the tomes already in mind, and go from there for SuperGatorAde.

Why would I want to count 12 hours twice? I’m perfectly capable of counting to 24, and while we’re at it, can someone go shoot named time zones. GMT+x is all we need!

I need to know if I'm on that list so I get to look forward to imploding someone, because I don't get away with imploding much people from MA - a lot of Spellcraft and all.

Putting a few stat points in Parry and then realizing, early on, that it's not a good stat, is going to make an EXTREMELY minor difference in the final build. Such a minor difference that it would be stupid to start over. The performance difference would be negligible.

I dont know, I like Cely have run into an extreamly large number of a certain tome. For me I always get Charisma tomes and I can't seem to get anything else, I swear every one of my characters has used one and there are like five on CLAD mules.

I think the gods are trying to tell me something and its rather offensive. :x :P
If it's 'Reflections' couldn't we actually be the Southern Coalition?
