It seems that there have been some issues lately that were causing problems on the server. When an issue arrises that causes problems for the community, and it has been discussed but not resolved, does that mean that we are not supposed to ever bring the issue up again and let it continue to cause problems on the server just so that no one is offended by reminding people that it still is causing a problem? I don't understand why that imediately gets a topic locked.
There have been a couple of problems in the last few days and my most innocent questioning, no flaming, no pointing fingers post was locked with a smart aleck remark, thus not leaving the post open for anyone to be able to respond. Doesn't this nullify the whole reason for the forums?
How are Unsolved server issues to be handled?

I'm really more of a dev than a DM (well, okay, pretty much totally), but Metis had an excellent point in her other post - you can't expect every issue to be laid out in pure legal terms. At a a certain point - the DMs are like lifeguards: if one tells you to quit doing that or to get out of the pool, you follow directions.
Taking things to the forums in an 'innocent' way of proving your point isn't a solution. All of our DMs are way overworked and put in huge hours trying to provide fun quests for people, fix problems, answer questions, etc. But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. I promise you if you think the server can be unhappy with DMs not giving you the answers you want to hear, wait til you play on the server with NO DMs....

Good thing you dont have the ability to intelligently abuse it!TheBestDeception wrote:Oh my... ...I think poet is well aware of the cirumstances and is just trying to find some information. If she didnt, she would harass the DMs in game about it, rather than putting it up on the boards to be sorted through.
Something which may not occur to a dev, which is perfectly acceptable seeing as they arent in game nearly as much as DMs.
...and to just simply brush off the people who take the time to make a well thought and polite gesture to find answers; opposed to the all too common demanding rants raves and hissy fits, isnt going to help your own situation.

it has been stated time and time again....
if you have a problem or a question about a dm's ruling take it up the chain of command through pm's. nothing gets resolved by asking open ended questions on the forums for all to see and say.
Yonwe, Netrom, Fire, TGPO, DD... this is where you want to send your complaints and issues to. these are the guys that will get you the answers. the open forums just make more hostility to all involved.
