Blade Thirst spell...

YAY! I was hoping this spell would become a decent vamp.regen spell, and it has now...I was so happy, that i made a new toon to try it out.

So far in testing it only partially works:

YES: It adds the prop to the weapon

YES: It gives the listed (in my testing case 2) points of regen but
|
NO: it does not seem to work on every hit, seems to mostly skip every other time? Even when you have 2 weapons enchanted with it, and land 2 hits in a round, it did fire more than once a couple times but usually did not.

YES: It stacks on a weapon that already has v.r. on it (haven't tested it yet since my toon isn't 13th yet).

NO: Taking SF:Transmutation and GSF:Transmutation added -NO- extra regen

Did this work in testing?

Anyhow, I look forward to seeing this change work 100%, since it will make rangers a whole lot more fun to play, and more competitive with other classes.

Vamp regen has never been active on every hit as far as I know.

Some hits are missed, for whatever reason.

Confirming what Jester says. Vamp regen doesn't fire every hit for whatever reason. Keep us posted on the how the focuses are interacting with the spell. We'll adjust them as we can.

The lack of on every hit blame bioware, no way around it the clunky system but if the spell focusing isnt working thats different. If you are sure it isnt please post on my thread for the changes it makes it easiesr for me to track and fix things.

I havn't gotten a chance yet, anyone tested if it works with anything other than slashing weapons?

Like other weapon buffs it will work on any melee weapon.

Spell is working as listed in changelog on next server rebuild

Blade Thirst
Caster level:
1-10 vampire regen 2
11-20 vampire regen 3
21-30 vampire regen 4
31-40 vampire regen 5

Focus in school transmutation
None – 0
Focus - +1
Greater - +3
Vampire regen will stack.

We decided to give no bonus for epic focus since rangers on their own cant get that feat.

Oh and I added a little visual for your eyes

Hmmm, I can't wait to try this out with some regen gear and regen spells. Might just be able to give those trolls a run for their money.

woot! yeah, it's working properly now (complete with the new evil-effect nice touch)...

...too bad it's a bioware bug that it doesn't always fire, with enough regen go go around, you could be nearly invincible if you could keep hitting things.
