ok so I know this is off topic but I do know there are lots of people who don't even glnce at OTF so I wanted to post this here if not too much.

I am curently in a game development class going for my degree and I need to interview lots o gamers both online and in RL.

so I wish to ask people of this community weather new old dm or player if you wouldn't mind please pm me the answers to these questions for a paper I have to do.

~Lack of better things to do. besides its better than doing drugs

2) what is your favorite type of game?
~RPG's,RTS. dunno where NWN games would fall. the numbers popping out never made sense to me before. but getting the hang of it lately.

3) do you prefer online or consel gaming?
~i think yah meant "Console". butan sure it was just a typo anyways. answer: used tobe console til i started playin online games. i guess its due to the interaction.

~ I'm freakin' bored.

~ I'd say 4-5 times a week for an hour or two weekdays and if its the weekend I just don't know.

Its a form of mental stimulation that isn't homework.

2) what is your favorite type of game?
Strategy.

3) do you prefer online or console gaming?
Online. Used to play console but stopped because lack of other human players.

4) what do u do for a living?
I'm a sophmore computer science major at Harvey Mudd!!
I've also worked a couple min wage/barely more than min wage jobs on the side.

5) How often do you game?
Its been becoming less and less. Mostly just on the weekends now.
Almost disappeared completely... then fight club started....

I only play NWN.

Relaxation, enjoyment, entertainment, "change of pace" from RL. Same reasons as for any of my hobbies.

2) what is your favorite type of game?

PnP AD&D, cRPG's, and strategy/Civilization-like games.

3) do you prefer online or consel gaming?

Non-online mostly. NS4 is the only online game I like ...

4) what do u do for a living?

I am a professor and scientist (cellular and molecular biologist) at a Faculty of medicine and health sciences.

5) How often do you game?

Varies. Depends on RL "free time" allowed from day to day, or week to week. I have other hobbies as well ...

Civilization II
Alpha Centauri
Realmz
NWN
(all four are about ex-aequo)

2. NWN is only game I play

3. used to play mods, but only NS4 since I started playing it

4. scientist - chemist, research director at a startup pharma company

5. at least several times a week

6. like I said, NWN is the only game I play

1. Fun/entertainment, it's easy/convenient.

2. FPS or RPG

3. Online usually, console if hanging out with friends in r/l.

4. Machine operator / CNC Tech. I love my job

(Seriously, not being sarcastic.)

5. Everyday, too much.

6. Have a few... NWN and CS:S for PC. Tiger Woods for console.

1) Escapism I suppose.

2) RTS

3) Online, almost never play consoles.

4) Software Developer (this thread is making me feel old)

5) normally ~1 hour per weekday, proportionately more at weekends.

6) NS4 has kept me interested the longest, otherwise Blizzard's X-craft games.

1) why do you game? roleplaying/war gaming has been my hobby for over 40 years.

2) what is your favorite type of game? Currently DnD (p&p) then online RPG games, but if a Naval war miniatures started up in my area I would jump at the chance to run some destroyers.

3) do you prefer online or consel gaming? Console? what's that - online of course.

4) what do u do for a living? Senior Software Engineer

5) How often do you game? LOL, every day of course.
