Hello, I am new to Neversummer 4, and I am playing as a lawful evil monk of the Shadow Legion. I can't seem to find any quests in Menzoduran. For now, all I can do is kill chickens, rats, and beetles, which can get old after a while.
Are there any quests, such as:
1. Find an escaped slave and kill/capture him.
2. Explore the Underdark (to encourage players to know their environment)
3. Fed Ex quests.
4. And others?
Quests?

Another thing... I've noticed that the DMs sometimes conduct "collect item X from monster Y in location Z" types of quests, without any roleplaying reason for doing so.
Yes, I know that this isn't a roleplaying server, but it would make the quests much cooler to add a little roleplaying to them.
I don't like this type of Shadow Legion quest:
CHARNAME, there are 10 bandits in LOCATION. Each of them has a ring of light. Kill them and bring me their rings of light.
Here's a better version of the same quest:
CHARNAME, a group of slaves has escaped from Menzoduran, and have been tracked to LOCATION. The penalty for their crimes is death. Each of them has stolen a ring of light to light their way in the Underdark. Kill them all and retrieve the stolen rings for me.
The second version looks much more evil than the first one, and much cooler, too.

1.) The Ancient Ones Faction has Slaves, not the Shadow Legion.
2.) They've done and could do quests that encourage exploration of the Underdark, but scripts involving calculating how much area you've explored could seem to be a hassle. Could do it where they go ask x number of Drow Raiders and Scouts for reports like the Last Alliance Messenger job does if they're lacking in creativity
.
3.) Fed Ex quests kinda go together with the quests that encourage exploration, because you have to explore to know where you're taking something.
4.) The quests, in general, are not the hard part. Its the scripting involved, I'm sure the Devs and DMs already have a pretty good idea of what the quests for the Shadow Legion and The Circle are going to be like. If they don't, theres been quite a few Quest Ideas in the Quest Ideas from the Community Sticky.
Quests are a top priority with the Planes. Once they add the Planes in, they're going for quests. The Planes are necessary for everybody, places to explore and play. The Jobs are only semi-necessary for the Shadow Legion and The Cricle players. You can live without quests, its just a bit boring when you have nothing to do.

You can live without more planes. They're just a bit boring, and you have enough of them.

I know that, of course you can. They're not boring, just aggravating sometimes. Its like we were able to live without them pre-wipe, of course we could. It was inconvenient though for people who wanted level 40s and didn't want to buy them, like Sirus who had to get level 40 by killing Amazon Bosses over and over.
