BG Summons

Post by Daedalus »

Just a question, are BG summons affected at all by SF: Necro and following feats. I think they are planar creatures but i just thought I'd check, i looked at the Summons Guide and it just says Undead are affected.

Just thought I'd check thnx

necro feats are the only ones that effect BG summons. they are undead instead of planar...found this out the hard way.
if i didn't do it...someone else would have.

i believe if you combat summon them then they don't equip their undead skin and can be sneaked and critted.

As far as I can remember (it has been a while since I did the summon update) this is absolutely right.

Combat summoning certainly stops your undead levelling up.

Also i have seen people have problems with "Harm" healing a undead BG summon. It keeps getting the error that u cannot perform this action due to friendly pvp settings.

nothing to do about it?

Harm isn't a hostile action vs party members that aren't among the living

True but it gives this error when trying to use harm on the "undead"

here's anopther funny thing:

a cleric can cast inflict/harm and heal an undead summon (mumm for example)

but if you use the BGs innate inflict, you cant heal the undead lol
