Server out?

Am I the only one showing the server as offline? Or did it switch IPs or something?

It went down a little over an hour ago. We are unable to acces it remotely and is waiting for DD to reset it. He has been notified by email.

Switching IPs shouldn't make a difference. DM must be somewhere BBQ'ng some tender birds and ribs. He musta forgot all about us. Or the 2-legged ones had bird flu...sigh

By stating that you can not remotely access it, I reckon that someone has to hard boot it.....maybe hook a crash cart to it. But wherever the server is, don't they have techs there who can do just that? ( Assuming that the server is in a colocation).

We dont know what the issue is currently. It is not at a colocation facility, rather at DeputyDogs house, so when he gets home and gets the message then we'll see some kind of response.

Worse comes to worse, well we could ask Joran to go over and power cycles DD's whole house from the electric company main disconnect.

hopefully joran won't encounter some angry dogs at the premise. And if he gets electrocuted while at it, dunno how we'll explain it to his beloved ones. Either way, whatever cuts the mustard. We need this.
