Lag
Lag
The game has been extremely laggy today.... periods of normal play followed by pauses of up to 20 seconds; everything then happens very quickly, then normal for a bit, then pause. It's nearly unplayable right now, at least if you're fighting enemies tough enough that you have to heal frequently... when the lag pause passes, everything happens at once. boom.
I really don't see any point in logging on until this is fixed.

Oddly enough though I can access shops at a good rate today. That's about the only thing up to speed, as I lost at least a level's worth of XP to getting killed in lag-bursts.

Just a smart tip --- use your journal often -- especially if you have just :
xfered gear,
picked up a "nice" item,
purchaced / sold gear
leveled.
or if you are gaining xp rapidly in wolves for example;
i once lost 10k xp from a crash in wolves as well as xfered gear and gold.... ( about 30-45 minutes play time) so now i use that book as often as i can
Long lag spikes are nerve racking at times...often by the time you realize the server is going to crash it is too late, and you say to yourself:
" (explative) i didnt use my book ! "

I have noticed this as well, and have also noticed that resting doesnt always save for me --- some crashes have caused what i would call "rollbacks" - usually rolling my character back to the last point where i logged on.JesterOI wrote: I've found that even just opening your stats screen to check xp helps too for some reason.
