What is your greatest achievement?

Post by OneKnightinChina »

alright, i'd like to hear what your greatest achievement is in Neversummer 4, at the moment for me i don't really have many achievements but getting my shifter levels. but i'm sure that some of you have achieved greater things than that in your time.

if anything this is your time to brag about it ;) so don't be shy tell us all about it. perhaps you beat a tough opponent single handed or finally got to use that armour you've been storing away.

Brandon Stark, loyal paladin of Tyr and aspiring Champion of Tyr, twice went back and visited deadly vengeance upon leaders of foul enclaves.

The first time he fought his way through the Minotaur Crypt in the Highlands, the Lich easily chased him back to the entrance after casually body slapping the brave paladin around a few times. Brandon then prowled the upper levels, destroying it's servants, until he felt learned enough to take on the lich again. Alas, it was not to be. The lich beat him down, and his spirit was sent back to Daeron.

Much later, after visiting Haddon Mirk and the Gnoll Fort, Brandon went back for a resurrection mission for the Fists of the North. After the mission, he fought back the old ghosts, tore through the servants, and confronted the Lich once again. This battle took 10 minutes and 20 healing kits, plus some strategic retreating as needed. But, in the end, the Lich was vanquished and Brandon retrieved his prize, the Golden Cowbell.

The second leader was the dreaded Lord Gezor. Surrounded by Giant-kin, and hiding until Brandon was overwhelmed by Bloodrinkers in his throne room, Lord Gezor came out and cast some foul magics at Brandon, laying him low rather quickly. A shouted curse, and that match was his.

Never forgetting that evil must be destroyed, Brandon went back later, and slew his way up Giant Mountain. Once again, he was able to fight the Bloodrinkers, but did not fall for the “Lord Gezor’s not here, human scum!” response. Then, as the last Bloodrinker lay dying, Lord Gezor leapt from the shadows. But, since Brandon was much more combat savvy by now, he engaged Gezor and ended his pathetic life.

(I love it when the good guys win.)

once upon a time the powerful yet inexperienced Holy Bolt Thunder Lover took on the mighty Nomius Phasa in a mages duel. the vile sorcerer Nomius was beaten down by a wizard 20 levels lower. it was his mistake to take on such evil.

the aspiring pale master Shadow of Death defeated 2 of the 3 planar bosses in a contest set forth by Lathandar. none of the lands mighty warriors could get past the first yet this loathesome half dead managed to defeat Earth and Fire before runing out of the healing arts while fighting Air. i believe he is still one of the only few who have single handedly killed Ragnar, Cheery, Earth, and Fire. he has also been a party to the death of Alzaara, Ebontaxius the sd dragon, and the shadow planes ruler.

evil is very mighty indeed.
if i didn't do it...someone else would have.

Curious, I never set forth any such challenge for you DD1. Maybe you think of Torm?

Well, I was bored of seeing so many mages and clerics dominating the land, so I made something completely different -- a bard/blackguard named Sister Sin...

At level 31 she defeated =kst= sirus a couple of times who was a very sneaky level 34 (and later 36) rogue/shadowdancer. Also at level 31 or 32 she defeated a couple of level 40's one on one - :DD:'s Silent and a DM monstrosity from Lloth called Tildor Xilo. Also, just for fun she took on the leader of KST (Kromix) and defeated him on 'his turf' (the Dark Forest), and defeated a level 38 cleric from FoN (Jean) in a friendly duel, and oh so many others...

Since then she has been defending the relics of neversummer, fighting quite well in the epic planes, and working quite effectively in small parties defeating Ragnar/Cheery--(which she has technically done solo), Alzaara, the lord of earth and fire.

At the writing of this, Sister Sin is level 39 and getting closer and closer to my first level 40 on NS4... That will be quite an achievement considering she's also ECL3 ;]

Nonsense. Everyone knows Nomius was a n00b.

Greatest achievement? So far that would be achiveing master artisan in all the crafting disciplines and being one of the first players to fully explore all the planes.

that must have taken you quite some time, i haven't even started crafting just yet, although i really should start as soon as possible really.

the hardest part of crafting is lvling the char...and nomius wasn't much of a noob when he was lvl 40 and i was 19. i still won and i didn't even play a mage before that one.
if i didn't do it...someone else would have.

aye, sorry i guess i went a bit off topic on the above post... ( fatzo = p W n d by the moderator :P )

auctually... my greatest achievement would be my lvl 37 cleric , since he is my highest character, once i find some more incentive to level him, i intend to do so.
...do not mess with the fat cleric !

another would be wailing Kromix's high level in the zons, a few months back, taht was a shocker and a relief at the same time

I was happy just getting my first epic char... now I have two more who are close.

One of these days I'm going to actually make a shield-user.

maybe not the bigest one but most certain the ones i like the most till now are the katrina (33th clr/ftr/rog) and the both ''sue's'' builds (one goodie 31th brd/CoT/clr, and one bady 30thbrd/BG) . All 3 have their own highly devolped strengths, and ofcourse their weaknesses, thou these will be worked at on futher lvl up them.

Katrina has a nice ac, att bonus , evasion, high saves, and nice SR. Butt she still lacks clr lvls and strength.
Sue-Ellen is fun,a decent damage dealer with tons of feats and very high ac and saves but still... well she don't have it all for pvps, thou coming closer 8)
And the 3th one the evil twin sister of sue-ellen is sue-anne. basicly build with the same strengths her sister has, unfortunianly she has some of the same weaknesses, thou less, and if i'm correct in working her out on paper and compairing with wath sue-ellen can become, she will spack her own sister out of the plains straight through the nexus back in all goodie dearon without a scratch. A toon to keep an eye on i guess.

Another toon, alien , is good to (33th rgr/SD), but since she's bases on 100% pvp and with the weird pvp rules here i rather don't wanna log that toon to much, cuase when i do it i'm certain i will brake those rules anyway. But whatever, she's got 96hide and 84 move silent and working on her saves on those rare moments i want to lvl her up.

Since i don't like playing Wizzy's and sorcy's i don't have one higher than 7th lvl

Given how little time I have to actually play on this PW, I'd have to say surviving the dash from Malencia to Avendell is doing pretty good at this point. (especially with a toon with a +3 level penalty)
