Server Down Time

Hi, i'm new to NS4 and was wondering if it has much down time. i just started playing last night and i love it the cutscenes at the start were amazing and the whole atmosphere is perfect. i used to play the origonal NS a while back, seems like forever when i think about it.

oh, and is there a way to delete characters? i made a mistake on one with the subrace and i can't delete it ^^;

Its not down too much. Hardly ever crashes when im on.

you can delete your characters.
there should be a devil angel somewhere in your faction.

Thank you very much. now at least my waste characters won't be clogging up ther servers harddrive ^^

If the server happens to crash and its not up within 10-15 mins, go visit the irc channel and tell us whats up, usually a dev of some sort is hagging around there

I have to say that when the server was down last night (my time) I went on to the IRC and spent about 2 hours there constantly writing messages and it wasn't untill Flailer logged on about 2.5hrs after i was on there to do something.

*nods* yesterday it was down for a while, i'm new to NS4 but i was already getting withdrawl symptoms ^^; i just love it so much.

Two gigs of character files clogging that harddrive, plus a few megs of database files. My greatest achievement is not deleting the vault on a daily basis.

lokey...remember when over 200 chars were created in a few hours opening night? killed the database for ppl logging in...man, that was great.

I wonder if that same number would be reached or surpassed if there was another vault wipe in the future.

heh more like in the first five minutes. We had several thousand by the end of the second day.
