Ice Giant Boost
Nice boost on the Ice Giant CR's... Though the fort save increase seems a little much.
I could see increasing it, but not by so much.

What's the problem? Too many mages were fast leveling down there by wailing giants. Problem solved.

That is an engine issue, blame bioware. If you have ever used the DM client you will recall that there is a difficulty slider on the top right of the screen. The further to the right that this is pushed the more "difficult" things become (the computer fudges the rolls a bit for NPCs). It also adjusts how the engine handles "detect" issues and how AoE damage is handled among other things.
We use the default medium difficult setting, so there will be times when it becomes glaringly obvious that the game engine is fudging things a bit. What suprises me is that knowing this crowd and the level of analysis that some put into the game, that it has taken this long for the issue to get noticed. We havent adjusted the difficulty setting (for very long) as far back as I can remember.
Good catch though, I hope the explanation helps a bit.

4th post before someone caught it... Good job team!!!Death Dealer1 wrote:i think he was talking about the rolls of 20's on most saves.
Too bad there couldn't be a "normal" mode where rolls are purely random...
It gets rather frustrating and boring constantly seeing rolls of 15+ 75% of the time and rolls of 5 and below the other 25% of the time.
Having to consistently cast a spell that has a 70% chance of success 5 times before it actually works isn't very much fun.

lol.. if you had your way nobody would be playing ns4 then.. how about making ns4 'instagib' like some FPSs have one hit=kill and everyone has fireball wands$chase$ wrote:i was playing..if i had it my way there would only be a +2 stick and thats all
So....now that ice giants got a boost in CR (well 2 did anyhow, not sure of the bosses since its so busy in there) how about zons? ie: The lanceresses are definately harder than an ice giant warrior in most cases (except for maybe an rdd/monk with mystic robes or somethin').

Lanceresses my rear!
I have 25% immune pierce and 10/- pierce and my crits from them are roughly the same size as crits from Merfolk Imperials while wearing 50% immune slash, 10/- resist salsh, and 50% immune electrical.
Not to mention being crit'd by Imperials more often, even with same AC.
Leave the Imperials at same stats but bump their CR.
