Would this be plausable?

Post by Naz »

Ive been playin ns4 on and off for while and i think the things it realy cud do with are:

Haste, recall stones or smaller areas to make less running (it takes forever to reach somewhere for good xp then have to make the long trip back to town to sell and id stuff)

More spawns or Higher xp (due to large amounts of crowding in starting areas)

Merchents that drink coffee more often for the late night shopers or a all night shop that closes in day instead.(nothing worse then having run back for 30 mins just to find the stores closed)

Sorry to complain just wat i think lacks in the server

Otherwise i love it :D

There's plenty of haste in the game. Go find a caster and ask them for a hook up. :P

24/7 stores might be great

the problems with the stores now aren't really worth the 'realistic' way for 7 am - 9 pm...

It's about time everyone learns that exp should not come so easy. Play your charater, love your charater, take time to develope your charater.

It's not about going from level 1 to 40 in 1 day anymore.

Haste, over rated.

Shops being open 24/7 over rated.

Recall stones? over rated.

The mod was developed the way it is for a reason. Right now they are looking for bugs. The working mechanics of the game is going to remain the same.

I think palyers (and DM's) need to stop ripping into people for their thoughts. So what if someone doesn't express their thoughts in a positive manner, or doesn't bow down and worship every aspect of this game. The forums are for people to post thoughts and opinions right? Mz, I doubt your posts are intended to come off as harsh as they do, but not everyone has to love NS. I do, but if people don't who really cares? If someone bad mouths the game, devs, players, etc. Who cares? Does it really matter to our enjoyment of the game if Naz would like a haste or a recall stone? NO.
yea yea!

If you aren't suffering brutal, excruciating pain, then you aren't playing the game the way it's meant to be played, and you don't know what fun really is.

I must say i'm more proud of my lvl 12 cleric than of my 20ish lvl 20 sorcs in NS3, witch is quite positive in my book.

i must say i now already look up to the point i have to start my new sorc (i'm a compulsive sorc player)
I don’t really see much point in intelligence anyway, even at very high levels of intelligence, wizards still don’t realize it would have been smarter to be a sorcerer.

Well, it gets quite boring when people ask for the same things over and over when they've been told they won't be getting haste as a permanent effect. Most ideas are welcome, but certain aspects of the game were implemented for a specific reason that won't change. Haste in its default form was unbalancing in the favour of casters. Haste on items is the default form and can't be modified. Darn hardcoded item properties.

When you start requesting things ask yourself this first: Do I only want this because it will lessen the challenge of the game or make it easier to solo? If the answer is yes, then maybe you should ask yourself why you're playing at all...

Well then how about this for an idea (although it might be difficult to mod) a quest of some sort or item skill that allows the speed increase like the messenger skill but works as a permenant effect.

This is not buffing a charecter, but still giving them a good speed to travel from Point A to Point B

As for the xp, i dont mind it like it is, but there needs to be more spawns then cause with so many people at the same lvl, areas are often in use by multiple players, making it hard to find stuff to kill and the only other solution would be to pk them....(which i hope most people wouldnt do)

Although Quickened Pace isnt quite as good as haste, I still find it quite useful, specially for running away :o. It also lasts a fair bit longer than the haste spell :)

Not sure about what you said about takin the time to develop and love your character tho Mz :o after all remember the beta wont last forever and then we would have start all over again (not complaining). Some people might find that annoying, especially if they've spent a lot of time gettin their char(s) just right...
I sense a soul in search of answers...
