AO Newbie Zone
Was the area surrounding Sleeth worked on while servers were down? If so the spawn rate there is still extremely slow.
Games great, but this is the number one issue with me and the other 6 people I play with.
Thanks.

I think that's supposed to be some of the excitement, eh? After all, AO gets RDDs and anyone can play them.Draven wrote:In addition, PLEASE get rid of the Dragons and Disiples in town until you fix the AOE spells.
I know that they AOE when rats spawn, but the dragons are so large its often hard to get out of the way before your blasted to death.

so if slaves are a dime a dozen, why is the dragon toasting rats? surely there are better things to do..?Shasz wrote:Well, you *are* supposed to just be dragon slaves afterall... what dragon gives much consideration to whether he accidently fries a non-dragon, especially if it's only a slave? Actually, Followers are a step up from slaves... but one step above pond scum is only mosquito level. :p
The caste system (as far as I can tell) in AO goes, from bottom to top: slaves, Followers, Disciples, Guardian Disciples, Disciple Leaders, Dragons. There may be more layers, but I haven't spotted 'em yet.

That particular Dragon is scared silly at the prospect of disease. Therefore, if he sees a rat, he toasts it and sterilizes the entire area around it.sep caldessian wrote:so if slaves are a dime a dozen, why is the dragon toasting rats? surely there are better things to do..?Shasz wrote:Well, you *are* supposed to just be dragon slaves afterall... what dragon gives much consideration to whether he accidently fries a non-dragon, especially if it's only a slave? For reference of being able to get out of the AoE, watch the dragon and look for his fear aura to go up. If it's up, he's spotted a soon to be sterilized rat.
I love this feature.

They're dragons... they have no respect for human life.
