Shadow Legion - Rangers
I think that shadow legion should allow rangers after all it is a faction run by Elven subraces and isnt ranger a primary class for an elf ?

Besides ... with so many classes unavailable to us in TC and considering that many classes are exclusive to other factions, it is bad enough already that rangers are not *exclusive* to TC (which would make sense ... heheheheheh)

ok......how bout rangers in MA? thats a lot of territory to cover on foot with many perils....but no rangers to explore it, just mages and rogues. which by the way, why put the most formidable opponent for a low lvl rogue and mage one of the first things they have to fight. i mean come one....everyone else gets cheese and MA has to fight formians which have a higher SR(kills low lvl mages) and its immune to sneaks(no good for those rogues). ever think about that or was it planned to keep them more in check?

lol, yeah. Who would want to be turned into a spider anyway? Also, MA doesn't have to bad on leveling up. On the plains of Angmar theres rats, fire beetles, and these weird Pigmy guys. By the time you're starting to get really crappy xp for these guys, you should be able to make it to Avendell (Keep heading east, through the Ash mountain caves which have goblins so they're not that hard.) You'll have to run past some Ancient Dire Bears, but so do the SL. And its BETA, MA should get its jobs sometime.Okie Ifrit wrote:Draco it was the ones who failed the test who got turned into driders

Yeah it's not that hard if you go invisible through the caves. If you're playing acaster, you've got it made, it might be a little harder for a rogue unless you got some blue powder handy. There's a neutral bind point in the western slope MA can use (helpful if the toon gets killed before reaching Avendell).P. Of course, a toon can also simply save up enough money to get a ticket down to Frostdale from the Grey Shores and then up to Falme from there. That's even faster then hoofing it overland.

I second this request, EVIL rangers make perfect spy/hunters and a great entry into both Blackguard and Assassin, You need to change the fluff for them but the rangers abilities are perfect for a Drow Hunter
Alternatively is it possible to level up in a class after joining as faction and getting your gang patch?

ok guys...not saying its not hard to lvl a MA char...saying the creature types you hit after bugs and rats are the worst for both the preferred classes of the faction. you guys are n00bs anyway. not everyone wants to run from where ever they start to avendell just so they can lvl on goblins and the mountain. if you know what your doing you shouldn't have to be in avendell at all until around lvl 13 to get your gear. check this out...
Daeron-hordes of undead-a clerics and pally's ultimate cheese time is undead
Sleeth-hobgoblins and gargoyles-arguably the easiest thing for dragon loves to get
Melencia-goblins and gargoyles-either way is good cuz at lvl 3 you can get a grizzly that can eat a gargoyle down to nothing for you
Menzo-rats then orcs-by the time your done with orcs its easy to branch out into the realms of Ns with little problems
NS city-rats, goblins, bandits, the mountain-not to mention that avendell and most everyone hangs out in this general area
Ragnars-rats and orcs-by the time you can get out of the rats the black hills are fair game for a stalwart dwarf
Garagoth-rats, formians/kobolds-its a / in formians and kobolds because its an either or way...go to formians for massive mobs or kobolds for massive life lost. those little guys are mean and don't mind killing you. oh and the sea caves are ok for lowbies also.
if you actually read who gets what for low lvls say 1-12 then its easy to see how most are actually getting favorite or easy enemies for their classes. i was just asking why do the mages and rogues have to choose between no frills and nasty buggers. i still think ranger would be a good class in MA anyway.

LA, RK, and SL lowbies can all get to Avendell with little difficulty. An LA character can get there at level 1. It's fairly easy for a toon from TC and AO to some extent as well. Also, it's easier to XP in a party and Avendell is one of the best places to meet up, especially if there aren't too many people from your own faction on.

What are you talking about its easy to branch out into the realms of NS with little problems? In the Legion Tunnels theres just beetles and molemen, but as soon as you reach the surface theres the Gnolls and Ancient Dire Bears! Theres a gap between level 1-4 creatures to level 10-15 creatures. If theres another way out thats much easier than I must have missed it.Death Dealer1 wrote:Menzo-rats then orcs-by the time your done with orcs its easy to branch out into the realms of Ns with little problems
I agree with LA and RK lowbies, since LA is really close and RK is black hills right next to it but SL? I only found two entrances into SL and one came near Garagoth and one near Red Canyon.Elagneros wrote:LA, RK, and SL lowbies can all get to Avendell with little difficulty.
