Lost newbie

Hello,

New to this server, impressed by the shiny plot sequences, intrigued by all the unique features. I created a Strongheart Halfling Fighter and joined the Ascendancy. Problem is, I can't find any work to do. I've searched every important looking building in Garagoth, and the plains to the north, but every NPC I talk to says nothing more than a friendly hello. Moreover, I can't even find a healer or a place to get restoration potions.

Am I missing something, or is this area still in the works?

Welcome to the server, I hope you'll like it and stay a while.

So far there hasn't been devoloped any jobs except a few in the Last Allience and in the Ancient Ones.

I had the same problem last night! Super cool world, nothing to do but kill rats. I guess we'll all just have to wait for more development.

Yep, as for my work here, after I finish this here area I'm working on, jobs/quests will be my next priority...

Healer? I don't know if there are any, period. Restoration potions? Nope. At least you can't buy them.

Elvin will sell you healing kits and healing potions, but nothing of the restoration sort. Thus, you want to maybe invest in a few Healing skill points.

And if you have your stats lowered and resting and time doesn't take care of it, then you can ask for someone cleric-based to fix it or ask someone to kill you. When you respawn from a PK, you don't lose XP. AND you return to your bind point with all negative effects removed.

Aye, much of the problems with a lack on NPC healers is fixed by the fact that there are lots of PC clerics/druids out there who can help, and even in the heyday of inter-faction violence, most people are happy to help with healing as long as you're not attacking their city. In far-away places like Garagoth and Daeron it can be hard to track down a PC nearby, but closer to NS or Avendell it's not so much of a problem.

Thinking logically, I believe there are no NPC healers because that would give a distinct advantage to defenders of a city during a raid... it may be something of a non-issue nowadays, but it's better to plan for the ideal and then work there than solve the problems of the moment. a new area sounds like fun...and completing job scripting sounds like a long over due thing that its good to hear someone is finally going to try and get started on. i hope it goes well for you flailer.

Yeay! NS4 really is in dire need of quests. It'll be good to see the factions finally get fleshed out a bit.
