drow and dwarves

Post by Daltian »

Maybe it is to late to talk about this but I think that only drow characters should be allowed in Shadow legion and that no other faction can use drow PC's. I find it hard to belive that drow would rely on any of the "lesser" races.
Also same as drow, no other faction should be able to use dwarves for PC's.

I agree, but I don't think you can force people. Although it would be rather weird to have a drow elf in Ragnar's Kin.

So, if people create their characters a bit in the general atmosphere of NS4, it'll be alright (I hope).

Of course, you can create a 'dissident' character, for example a drow elf who has been shunned by his brethren and now has joined the last alliance to seek revenge.

Or maybe a more romantic Romeo an Juliette setting? A drow elf who fell in love with a paladin an now has joined the Northern Coalition?

Or a drow elf who falls in love with a dwarf and ... wait, naaah, won't happen lol

Maybe I didn't explain myself clearly. The primary idea is that Shadow legion should be made only of drow characters.
Not being able to play drow in other factions is only a minor idea.

Damn, my english is awfull lately.

You really think people would dare to create non drow characters in the Shadow Legion? Or non dwarves in Ragnar's Kin?

It's always possible of course, but it wouldn't feel right.

And I don't think the drow or dwarves would be very happy with that :)

So, every Drow that ever lived is included in one faction?

Bah!

What about an outcast Drow that is Dead Set Against the Queen, perhaps an "exile". You want to know what Hated means? Try a drow that is shunned by his own kind, and is basically KoS everywhere. Now that sounds just like what a truly chaotic maverick would like. What about a rival Drow house that aspires to overthrow the self-proclaimed Queen?
"you want me to worship that Bizatch??"

To require that All Drow be one faction would not improve anything, other than give Shadow Legion the exclusive access to one of the more interesting sub races.

It isn't possible to be a non-dwarf in RK. You can be a non-drow in SL as long as you're evil.

Hmm, again a topic that triggers a lot of emotions (hehehe)

Anyway, in character
