I have one question

Post by Pack484 »

This is not meant to sound like whining.

I just want to know everone's opinion.

OKay i see a person in ns city so i talk to her, when someone pms me to tell me to stop talking to her. I say im just trying to party with the person.
So i ask and they say no. I say ok then go towards the bandit camp. I see them going the same direction. Getting bored of fighting the same ol bandits i ask them to fight me. One agrees so i hostile and attack(i am a sd so yes i used hips) The other decides to hostile me and join in the fight. Niether get a chance to hit me :) and they start running and say fight me when fight like a man etc. I tell to stop running and chase em'. We go into avendell. Yes i know theres no fighting in avendell but whith the amount of ppl on lately it gets boring fighting bandits so i follow. They run into a shop and i continue attacking knowing it wont do anything and start talking to em'. A dm comes in and says what u doin i say ill wont fight again. We get into an arguement/ conversation then she decides to ban me for 24 hours.

Whew, sorry for the huge post but i needed to say what im thinking. Now im wondering why the dm decides to ban me for 24 hours when i attack one person in avendell. I mean a warning would do just fine. Im new to the server and dont attack ppl constantly. Ive only killed two ppl and thats defendiong my faction.

So plz reply and tell me your thoughts.

See making it public was your choice.

To answer, you knew it was against the rules, they were doing their best to disengage with you and were in avendell where you followed them through 2 maps knowing full well you were in violation of the rules.

In talking to you, you admitted that you knew the rule, this means that you had already had your warning on it. Then you tried to justify your actions, not repentant in the least over your admitted intentional disregard for the posted rules.

24 hours out of the game to cool off and think on this was warranted in this case.

The LOL at the end of our conversation when I told you of my intentions was kind of the icing on the cake that drove it home.

I see but i have only doen it once, and i feel i need no cool off time. IO admit i did no the rules and i am sorry but banning seems to me taking it too far, but thats opinion. So i guess if u feel i need to"cool off" then thats up to u not me.

O and the lol was just the first part of my reply. i was going to finish it if u hadnt banned me:). Iw as planning to say that u neednt take it that far i was just trying to have soem fun. And then apologize and i thought we all could move on but i guess not..

Again i am not trying to whine im just stating my side thx for listening.

I reply would be nice tgpo:)

Rules are Rules and must be obeyed by all -- even i follow the rules. You should of waited outside of avendell and then attack.

i agree but the rules dont say u ban the offender for 24 hours. Thats my point, that maybe a little to harsh but hey i guess i wont fight ppl much anymore.

Not that theres very many to fight in the first place

Punishments are up to the DM to decide. We have a recommended course of action, but it isn't set in stone. Knowingly breaking a rule and being "sassy" to the DM about it isn't smart. :) If the rule said "Not much fighting in Avendell" it'd be one thing, but we both know that isn't true. You might have been trying to have fun, but it took away from another's fun by blatantly disregarding a rule.

Besides, it's only 24 hours. If it was a permanent ban and you had done absolutely nothing against the rules before it might be extreme... but if the rules aren't enforced people will disregard them in a less "trivial" case. They have before.
