Im off to Aantioch. Im tired of okies, slaves, people just PvPing each other for no reason. I hate that there is virtually no law enforcement like there used to be back in NS3. Things have taken a turn for the worse and now the lawless run this server as opposed to good natured people. There used to be days where someone could walk the NS servers without being accosted, now those days are all but non-existant.

I'd rather be with a group of people I know who I grew up with on the NS servers, than with the people that currently reside on this server. Maybe i'll come back when this server grows up a bit and moves out of beta. But for now...the realms of NS are just to depraved to entice my want to continue playing.

'' pvp'ing for no reason '' Well the last time i checked, the Devs designed this server for the factions to kill each other. If you are hostile your dead, and if your in a clan that is hostile your probably going to die too. Is that a good enough reason?

pvp is what attracted me here... i got banned from server because i was pking and killing city guards

and here i am free to do what i wish!

i wouldnt want ns4 to change the pvp ^^

well i've seen several really good mods empty out and get shutdown from unrestricted pvp so maybe thats not such a good idea. btw where is this antioch..not coming up in gamespy for me

Its called Shadows of Aantioch under persistent world Action, look for it under the NWN multiplayer instead of gamespy...a lot of the vets that got fed up with other problems went there. If you want the address just send me a pm ill get it to you. It feels like NS4 shoulda been is all I can say,DMs are active and there is a WC-ish system. No more fun being drained out of my play. Their system is both parties must consent to PvP before killing each other, which was what NS3 used to be.

u needn't advertise it, as it has by far enough ppl for it's laggy server atm (yes i know tehre is a new one being built) and this topic shuda been made in off topic.. esp since it's mainly an advertisement for an entirely differnt server..

Hey ATI, sorry to see you leave. Its been cool the few times i've run into you in game and was really nice having a clan like CLAD around to help out against all the people who seem to be out for nothing else but to pk everyone. I can understand your reasons though. Good luck to you and hope to see you come back sometime.

u will get bored of aantioch fast. i played there for 2 weeks and got a sorc from lvl 1 with nothing to 40 with some of the best gear. also in that time ive seen basically all of the maps, most of which is filler. once u get to 40 u will be bored, all there is to do there is xp and do the few quests that are exciting at first but once u figure them out pointless. cya soon

im just hoping more guilds like CLAD form, so people can police their own members and as a whole, police stray pricks that PK for nothing
No, Faction PvP doesnt mean that you are gonna get killed "just because"... it means you will get PKed by hostile factions. unfortunatly the alignment system is a bit out of alignment and people more or less show up as hostile randomly, but it IS beta...

Instead of bitching "omg this guy killed my lvl 2", just shout "daeron enemy in blah blah". WHO CARES if you have to take the insanly horrible 0xp hit.

I wish people dident take PKing so personaly... Its a PvP mod... you die, i die, everyone dies, and everyone has fun (that is, if you can see that being PKed doesnt realy matter)

Dont think of being PKed as someones attacking YOU personaly, think of it as a NPC with a bit of brains.
And when someone kills you a few times, or is known for killing people, make them your 'goal', sorta like an ns4 G1... but he moves around the whole realm. (hey, mabe now the "wandering" part fits?)

Revenge isent sweet, but it is fun.
I got mine, you will all get yours, eventualy...

I, for one, really like the PvP aspect. It's like the best parts of a computer rpg and deathmatch all rolled into one, in my opinion.

Awwwww..how sad. Are you taking your ball with you? Sounds like you just never got what NS4 or beta is all about. Of course there is going to be lawlessness, chaos, and roving bands of Okies throughout the land. If you knew how to deal with them then you wouldnt have such problems like you do and not get butt hurt every time a Okie sticks a knife in your back

. Sounds like you need to go back to Neversummer pre-school and learn how to suck up a good beat down. Good luck with your new server...I'm sure you'll be able to find a good group of people you can run around with and sing kumbaya all day long. Yeah...that wont get old after 2 days. Too bad you're burning your bridges here with this post...the DM's may decide to never let you come back.
