What is wrong with/missing and needed in NS4?

Dont talk about PKs... if you want to do that choose one of the 6000 other topics made specificly for that.

But i wanna know what other people think is bad about NS4... every time i bring a 'bad' thing up in IRC its always shot down as 'picky complaining', even though it IS beta, and next to finding bugs, feedback is generaly what a beta is for.

Personaly, i think its the Okie/DM thing... how harmless people i never see cause problems get banned (Like the guy(s?) from NR) but the okies are allowed free shout and never get punished, and frequently kill low lvls in avendell and get away with it even when i get slayed for killing NPCs there

Also... in the bug pages you see alot of "this is for bugs not opinions... use the forums for that" but whenever someone uses the forums for it, it gets locked

It is chasing away a lot of NS3 players.

Look at the numbers that have gone to Aantioch or have not left NS3.

I feel that the community has become a lot more fractured and less cooperative on NS4 - but I can't quite say what I think is driving this. Is it the factions? Is it the speed of getting gear and xp? I cannot say for sure.

When I play other servers is seems much more friendly and people are immediately more helpful - things I really liked about NS3.

True. Okies get special treadment or did anyway. NR is with me in Aantioch with a familar 80 or so of our 150 registered coming from NS3 or 4. I have no idea why that thread is locked either. I never understood 90% of how things where ran here or on NS3. I guess that is why 7 or 8 of our DM's/Dev are from the NS servers. I bet u money this thread will get locked.

I'm not going to waste people's time and respond fully to this accusation.

Suffice it to say until proven otherwise in game, Terminal Insanity is as guilty of Okie crimes as Okies are. n00bs shout about being slain by Nominus Pasha on Giant Mountain. How does that make Terminal any better than an Okie? It doesn't. That, and Okies don't publicly whine about getting our fictional characters killed online. Oh well.

As far as improvements go... I'd like to know if there are any plans on the dev's part to increase or decrease faction holdings in the world based on politics in game, or player participation?

Will there be rings that offer more than just skill bonuses? I'm asking because in PnP, rings are some of the most powerful/useful items out there. I realize that's PnP, and this is NS4, but still... one can hope.

p.s. Okies don't air our dirty laundry in public... all I should need to say is that we've had our run-ins with the devs and dms, and Okies have suffered punishments as a result of it.

An observation I have made is that it is no fun when you want to sit back and relax and play some NS and keep getting pk'd by people that you have no chance whatsoever of defending yourself against. Someone who you ahve a chance of saving yourself from is one thing, but being a level 6 and getting instakilled by a level 30 is pointless.

As for myself. I like the mod all round. The only thing I find annoying is the xp. I think it could be raised a bit, or the monsters could be made a bit easier, but have their xp drops remain the same.

Not to mention... if anyone looks at the real conversation where Okie Reagan sends tells to Terminal... besure to check out that wehate.org directory, and see the original screen shot... where Terminal Responds to Reagan with a thinly veiled threat. I believe "Do you have any idea how much you will regret that" was what Nominus says in response... To me that indicates the healthier style of play... revenge when higher level... as opposed to "Justice-By-Forums!!!"

Just looking at all the screen shots this guy takes makes me wonder...*why* oh *why* does this guy find himself in so much trouble?!?

He *MUST* be a good kid because he hates okies, right?

Please people... it seems that Mr. Insanity's mouth gets him in more trouble than anything else.

But, in his defense... he did create a thread for talking about ways to improve what I think we all agree is an amazing start on the road to a world we can all have fun with.

To me an Okie=Slave=Term. Not much difference as far as I can tell except minor style differences (and that varies by each player in their respective groups as well).

All things aside... I guess all things considered there isn't much of a difference between Okies, Term, and Slaves... except the Okies were here first

And we do it all way better than these amateurs do
