Why all of a suddon do animals hate me?
Im a 10th level Druid and since about level 7 certain animals have been hostile towards me
Im from TC and never had a problem with animals before, now they attack me, mostly cat like animals and Dire Boars. I kill them when they attack but i've never killed one that didn't attack me first. Is there a way to get back in their good graces? I am a druid afterall and hate killing the wildlife.

It usually starts by damaging an animal accidentally, with an Area Effect spell, or a Summon's spell. It can also happen if you make a critical failure on an "animal empathy" roll. The animal will go hostile. If at that point, you attack it (even in self defense), it stays hostile. If you RUN AWAY and do NOT attack (AND keep your Summon/Pet/Etc from attacking) and stay out of range for 30 seconds to a minute, it calms down and stops being hostile. If you (or your pet) kill it, the entire "Beast" faction (all the carnivores plus any Dire animals) will be hostile. (Beasts and Animals are two separate factions. Thus the carnivores are hostile and the birds are not.)
At this point in time, there is no way to get any faction to be less hostile to you. That is one of the things that the Devs are working on, probably with some kind of "Atonement" procecdure, to be handled through a high-ranking NPC.
Until that time there's nothing that can be done. DM's don't have the ability to change faction hostility at this time.

Thanks for letting me know. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a bug or something that only I was experiencing. I do wish there was a way to kiss and make up with the animals
But until then Ill just deal with it. I think it may have all started when a cougar walked into a spike growth spell of mine. Should have realized that that spell hurts everyone, even me...or attempts to at least.
Id hate to start all over because with my wierd schedule, it's taken me near 3 weeks to get to 10 with casual play and dodging the PK'ers

Some classes are harder to level than others. I'm currently leveling a ranged rogue, this is quite hard as opposed to other classes. You have no pet and can't go toe-to-toe like a fighter does.Agent Shiny wrote:hpd...
me... more than 2 months.... still at level 8 lol
Also, 2 months doesn't mean much. You could have played 2-3 hours every day for two months or only once a week.
On the topic of hostile animals/beasts…
I have a Lvl 5 Druid (The Circle), attempted to use Animal Empathy, Critical Failed and the Crag Cat became hostile, I tried to move my summons away but they killed it before I could get them away. However I did not become an enemy of beasts. Is there a chance (roll?) to become an enemy of beasts?
