Favored Enemies and Subraces

If I choose elves as a favored enemy for example, will it count drow in as well? And are there any subraces that count as something different than their base race?

since nwn doesn't have the subraces, it'll count towards the archtype race.

so elf as favoured would count toward drow, wood elf etc.

Does that then hold standard for the Human sub-races too? or do they gain the Outsider base? I've heard that they suffer the ill-effects of those spells targeting Outsiders.

Subraces of any type are still considered their base race for favored enemy bonuses or other "static" NWN things. Spells and stuff can be editted to take the Subraces into account(ie the planar subraces getting the outsider banishing).
