Aetheria's first official Tri-Tournament is here.
When: June 7th at 10 am PDT (UTC/GMT-8)
Where: The Fury Fight Pit, accessible through Terrace Mettle via the north west corner of Avendell. Fights will be restricted to the rectangular ring just below the benches for spectators.
What is a tri-tournament? Contestants pick three of their characters to enter the event. You do not need to have any of the chosen toons logged until instructed. Part of the challenge is not knowing, what you will face in the battle ring until its time. There will be two divisions, the Alliance and the Open tourney. In the alliance division every toon a particular player enters must be from the same factional alliance. The open division is just that, each player may enter any three of their toons, regardless of faction. Each player may enter both division or just one.
Details of battle sequence. Players will be paired up randomly for each tier of fights. When you're turn comes up, each contestant will send the name of one of their toons that they have entered into the Tri-tourney to me via DM channel. They will then be instructed to relog, they must log in the named toon, and this is to prevent players from using the player list to influence their choice.
Each player will be ported to their start point and instructed to set all the spectators and opponent, if needing to rest, to non-hostile. Upon completion of rest, you will set your opponent to hostile and then moments later your be instructed to buff. You will have 20 seconds to buff yourself before the fight officially begins. Fight over when one of the two contestants dies.
The winner will be instructed to rest for next battle (set corpse to non-hostile) and the corpse will be raised. The player who lost will then re-log one of the two remaining toons that originally entered the tourney.
Battle sequence will repeat, this continues until one players runs out of toons to log-in, aka all three have died to the current opposing player. After all entries have competed, the winners of those matches move on to tier two. On and on until only one player stands alive.
Sign up: All entries for the tournament must be submitted via PM to DM-Mac- on this forum by June 7th at 8 am PDT (UTC/GMT-8) Each PM will specify toon name, log-in and which division they are entering.
All participants will receive a trip to the prize room. There will also be a special reward for the players that make it to the final tier of combat in each division.
Each trio is limited to one sneak max (sd, ranger with hips, corner sneaker with invis pots)Where: The Fury Fight Pit, accessible through Terrace Mettle via the north west corner of Avendell. Fights will be restricted to the rectangular ring just below the benches for spectators.
