Need help investigating missing toons on a secondary account

Hi, I just read lokey's post that it is easy to login and mess with other accounts. If possible, can I get a DM to look into my piratacorp account to see if there were any changes made from random IPs? I am a returning player so it might be difficult to go that far back in the logs. My last sign in was over a year ago, but I'd like to be able to find my old storage characters so I can gear myself again.

remember that even though its easy to get into other players accounts..we have cdkey lock security there for you so others can't mess with your account easily...as long as you don't disable it...

Oh, they were definitely disabled. I used my secondary account to share items and such. Though, I somehow doubt that a bad actor would have purposely deleted all my characters just for fun. Some kind of server event/modification could have caused my toons' disappearance. Are there any backups dating back far enough?

we recently had some hd failure that resulted in bad things happening..not able to be retrieved. Id bet money it happened then

Sorry for bringing this up again, but I feel like I didn't ask clearly enough on the previous posts. A year ago, there was a server failure and you restored the server with the most up to date backup you could salvage (it setback people 30 days worth of play).

When you say "not able to be retrieved" regarding my data, you mean that the backup used back then does not exist anymore (ie overwritten)?

that backup was probably overwritten...although i'm not sure.

If it is not too much trouble, could you or someone else check to see if it was overwritten? But if it's going to be a big hassle, I won't insist. Don't concern yourself with a lowly casual player like myself =P
