Blackstaff spell school & foucuses

Blackstaff is a transmutation spell, shouldn't it be improved by transformation focuses, and not evocation focuses?

Transmutation needs some love anyways, there are already a million reasons for mages to go evocation focused now.

Uh, thats what you get for working with bigby spells for several weeks and only changing the effects of blackstaff, not rewriting the if else statements.

Fixed in the change log to transmutation .

wiki states that blackstaff lasts for 1 Round/2 Levels. Is that 1 round per 2 caster levels?

Also, does the random elemental damage stack if the weapon happens to have that damage type on it?

1) Wiki is wrong, Duration is caster level turns.

2) Think Flame Weapon. No.

I appreciate the effort you've made, however I still don't see the point in making a build around blackstaff using say the Archmage Staff, when you can use the Talisid's Flail with flame weapon and get better base damage, better cross resists damage, better crits and not need to spend 3 feats on a next to useless spell school.

I'm saying you're arbitrarily taking what is arguably the best weapon in the game ( though scythe is higher burst, and halberd is nice as well for typing) and comparing it with what is possibly the worst base 2 handed weapon. Its better than your greatswords, anyways

Perhaps my point is that if you want people to make use of the spell, with all of it's requirements, then it needs to be actually worth it. Currently it's not.

does spell elemental dmg stack with already existing elemental dmg? For example, what will happen if my stick already has 1d12 fire dmg and bonus dmg is fire

It rolls both and takes the higher of the 2.
