Bard spells...

How exactly do Bards acquire spells as they lvl. Ive been playing a bard but as i have been lvlin the last few times I havent been able to choose any spells.

You only get new spells til lvl 20, but you can switch after that. Note that you need 16 cha to get lvl 16 spells.

Hm, you need charisma to be able to cast bard spells. 11 charisma for lvl1, 16 for lvl6. And always unmodified with items or jobs.

In some of the teen levels you get spells that you can't use yet.

I'm hesitant to change them only server side, any difference between server/client spells.2da disables the spell entirely...well at least for the useful ones we'd want to change outside script call.

If I raise my Chr through reading a book will I gain more spells?

Yes, you will. That's a really good way to make a bard.
