Bardsong, whats the deal?

Im trying to create an arcane archer build and I need a Bard class. I just found out that the Bard on Neversummer is nerfed (new word I learn't). I took a look at the Bardsong on NS wiki and the progession seriously sucks. At lvl 1 with 3 performance im only supposed to have +1 reflex saving throws. I tried it yesterday and I had temporary hit point, increase in attack, increase in damage and saving throw. So in reality its not nerfed and seems even more powerful than the original campaign. So whats the deal here? Is bardsong nerfed or not, I need to know because this will decide how I plan my build. Does anyone have a correct progression table that veries what the progression for Bardsong is?

Well trying to string out Bard Song and Curse Song over 40 levels and have it so its not overpowered sort of necessitates it to be this way. +4 Bard song and -4 Cruse at 40 is still very nice to have in your party.

No offence mate but you missed what I said. I said in my previous post that i've read that. My problem is that whats posted on the wiki contradicts what happens in the game. Therefore its confusing and I don't know how to plan my build.

It works in game just as it says on the wiki. The town guards like to hand out bard songs and other aid of their own, so maybe that is the source of your other bonuses.

Well im quite sure that I didn't get any bonuses. I think the programmers should look into this then. If thats the case though im not getting another lvl of Bard, not worth my while, but it does seem like a good idea for fairness.

Song gives you the extra HP. A free bless spell from NPCs would cause the bonuses you see.

I honestly dont think its the NPCs. Sure when im in Malencia some people cast Bless, but out in the woods the Dryads and the Nixies don't cast bless. Hell I just tried it just now and I got a damage bonus. Im quite sure it wasn't an NPC because it only happens when I do the song.

Yup I tried it one more time to be sure and I got as far as I possibly could from NPCs (in fact I didn't see any). There it was the damage increase icon. Serioulsy guys I think somebody made an error, it would be nice if I could have the issue resolved because I want to lvl up.

It may show the damage buff, but does it show any extra damage too?
or +0 Bludgeoning damage in char sheet?

We are going to need more information. You aren't telling us your bard level or the values of the bonuses you are getting.

You should be getting what's in the wiki; last I checked my 40 bardsong it was consistent with the wiki. You can always try to get a DM to look at you in game, too. Things do get glitched, even though we have the Best Damn Devs in the Land.

This brings up a very important rule here on NS4... always check your character sheet in-game. Following this rule is to never trust it

I know this seems cryptic, but the charsheet is correct 95% of the time, although there are a few instances where it will lie to you (you will learn them fom experience because they are few and far between and really not game breakers).

In this case the damage bonus from song is correct. This is a custom behavior on NS4, as bards receive a special self-buff for damage. The damage listed in the table that you see is the damage bonus given to others in the group. For the self-buff progression, see here:

I think the 'pure' bard bonus was the extra +1 to all the +4 stuff, netting +5 for AB AC etc. It was nerfed back down to +4 for all of that. The damage is something different... meaning the bard's self damage bonus and the damage bonus given to others is a different progression.
