TY for your involvement

Post by TheEdge »

Just wanted to pop in and say thanks to all involved in what tuned out to be a pretty huge event this past weekend. Traversing from one side of the word to the other, from the lowest pits to face the Minituar to the highest peak to confront a Titan, fun was had by all. Between the great Poems over shout and attempting to link this whole thing together it was a blast.
Best part of it all was the fact that we had 20+ players involved from all different factions/guilds and not once did I have to step in to keep the peace. This is something that I commend you all on and thank you.

Until the next one........I bid you good day.

sounded like it was fun, we should do it again and schedule something and see how many we can get for these "epic" events :)

Well, it got slightly ugly at the end once the prize rolling happened. Suffice to say the pwnd that started getting fiesty got put in his place pretty quickly (by the DM), to the enjoyment and taunting of the rest of the masses. Was a very appropriate and ironic outcome

Overall, was a fun and tough event. Well played all!

P.S. I have no sympathy for AO dragons on the bridges of DWP!
Death Dealers ::DD::
Laufer - Gemetzel - Force - Little Fist - Egil - Torture - Hatshepsu - Nemesis - Hierophant - Supernaut - Flesh Hound - Insurrection - Antithesis - Dead of Winter - Volcanus 2000

Had a blast at event Twig did..

Most notably were:

Con Moi who proved you can put a snake in wolves clothing and still be an Edger Alan Poet.

Draggons Dessert for playing the perfict court jester.

Thorac from Squidsville, who called for Ice and got all the machine could make.

And to our clerics, who certainly got the chance to empty their barrels of healing upon us.

Dozens others who are not named but remembered none the less.
Twig (TSS) - Twig [CLAD] - Twigs -Fury- - SyNfully Rotted Twig - Twig'lee -Down Under- - Twig'zilla

Fergus Glonshire [FoN] - Sakij Lovac [FoN] - Zatharus Rivermoon (TSS) - Bumble (TSS) - Body built for SyN

More notable in this cleric's opinion was the sighting of the rare AO druid dragon.
In its natural habitat, it has a tendency to sleep in doorways, and in small spaces it inevitably panics and threatens to knock others off edges.
At the sight of snowstorm, the AO druid dragon (henceforth ADD) panics, screaming as to the pain that will be inflicted.
Despite the presence of sporadic healing, ADDs rarely accept as a fact that they do not need to mention that the storm will kill them.
The most notable presence of these dragons is on small bridges, where they cannot help expanding to fill slightly too much space for others to pass.

Aww, glad you liked 'em! When I shout my Chuck Norris facts I usually get boo'd

For that, you can have a bonus!

Sit thee down and hear the tale
Of Gorm the lord of dwarven ale
he'll drink all night,
& stop only to fight,
or perhaps show the ladies he's hale.
Chuck Norris doesn’t wear a watch, HE decides what time it is.

Was the most fun (not to mention most success) I've had in a good long while. Thank you.

It was the first event I had a chance to participate in, and I'm glad I did!! I got to see a few places I hadn't been to yet, but look forward to visiting again! Thank you to everyone involved, and especially Gorm for putting it on. The best part of it all...I got butterfly wings!!!! Woohoo!!! :D :D :D
