Toon names, seriously?

So, I was just approached by a DM and told after having a toon for 9 months that suddenly my name isn't OK. In 9 months I've never once heard even one negative comment about my toon name, and I often get /tells voicing approval.

My offensive name ? Taken from an SNL skit where Burt Reynolds gave himself a "funny name" that included a 4 letter T word meaning poop that every 5 year old in the world knows.

Neverwinter online is a teen and above game. NeverSummer was built with such content as a brothel where players can kill hookers for spare cash. Item designs include a things like Pleasure Leather.

A small overly sensitive proportion of players who decide to be oversensitive should not be allowed to dictate to all the others what they can and cannot name their characters. I mean it's not like we're out there swearing at people.

What's next? People offended by our use of "false gods" or telling us the violence needs toned down? This issue needs a reality check. I'll go log in now and bow to the Political Correctness.

Considering items such as the mentioned 'Pleasure Leather' (ever read the description? ) , Id have to agree offence over your name would rank below items like this. Not that i have a problem with the leather, goes nice with the right crafted whip.

I had a toon with the exact same name quite a ways back and got told aswell
I also have a toon on the NS4 test server same first name and last name Bergler

Well I hope everyone knows the phrase about those who can't take a joke.

I will say that Torm handled the situation well, which couldn't have been easy since I was pissed off and bitching, and even gave me some extra XP by way of apology. I really wish I had thought a bit faster and named the remake "Third Ferguson"

if you have a issue with a dm ruling send a PM to TEP. this server is ran by the NS4 staff as WE see fit. so getting 5 players to post they have no problem with that, DOES NOT help.
best way to deal with it is to pm a higher DM.
