I'm building a 30 Shadowdancer, (20 levels of SD at the moment) and I've noticed that sometimes Shadow Evade gives me a bump to hide/ms and sometimes it doesn't.
I've been trying to figure out when it happens, is it an outside/inside difference? Night/Day?
Just wondering if anyone could tell me.

Re: Shadow Evade Question
Another question, is the SD hide/ms ability bonus tied to the shadow evade?
I put the IO in socIOpath!

Re: Shadow Evade Question
That's my guess, it seems to be getting larger every so often, and it's worked consistently all day today. It seems like maybe it didn't work when I was level 29 (19 SD) and then started working again.

Re: Shadow Evade Question
i'll bet its in the change log
Re: Shadow Evade Question
I looked at the change log. When Metis implemented the SD bonus's and improvements it didn't state that the the bonuses were tied to the use of any particular ability.
5 SD and 30 rogue gets you massive sneaks, 5 SD and 30 monk gets you massive speed and SR, 30 sd gets you a few rounds of DR and a hide/ms bonus?
Not to mention, Shifter Kobold Commando forms now receive +1 move silently per shifter level (+30 max) if they have no other classes besides Druid and Shifter. They still receive a +1 per every 2 shifter levels (+15 max).
That is from page 14 of the change log.
And if that is the case that seems more than a little messed up considering the SD only has his hide, and the Shifter/Druid has multiple other shapes and is a caster as well. I am not saying take anything away from the shifter. But a 30 SD should get significantly more of a boost than a kobold commando, again in my opinion.
If the MS/hide bonus is tied to the Shadow Evade ability, that doesn't seem right. To only get the bonus for a few rounds (as many rounds as SD levels + 10) it short sheets the SD, in my opinion.Changelog page 7 and 8 wrote: Page 7
Shadow Dancer
Starting at level 6 will get +1 MS/Hide every 2 levels
Shadow Dancer
Shadow Evade will now laste 10 rounds + 1 round per SD level

Re: Shadow Evade Question
if i remember right from testing a 30 sd evade lasts a bit longer than you would expect...and the hide/ms is capped out and you can't be found. or atleast...it can be.
