Thinking about trying another pure pally...

Despite how disappointed I seemed today, I am somewhat happy with how my pure pally turned out. Unfortunately, when I made him, I didn't know too much about subraces. I did some research and looked into an Aasimar pure paladin, but I have a question about his vulnerability to darkness...does Blind Fight still allow him to reroll his hits against enemies while blinded? Or can you not see other characters AT ALL while enveloped in darkness as an Aasimar (like, even if you're standing right on top of them)? Thanks.

And does darkness even apply to blind fight? Thanks.

If you have yur aura up, you are not blined by darkness at all.

Its actually very buggy how the darkness/light thing works. I have had my light up with UV on and been blinded by a drow (who in turn did not seem blinded). Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Without UV even if you have your aura up you cant see into the darkness.

I've had the same issue. In fact, with some limited testing even with UV up Aasimar has to exit the area of darkness for a moment and reenter. This is pretty hard to do if you are fighting one on one. And if you're blinded its a pretty heavy hit to AC. I'm actually beginning to think Aasimars are kind of weak due to the buggy nature of the Aura. Its sometimes hard to overcome.

Oh by the way. Your paly didn't turn out bad at all. You're doing quite nice in the Relic efforts too. No interest in building a different type of build? Or even a multi-class Paladin?
