WAY ???????? to steal some ones login name ,is a kin to breaking an entering some ones home ,U HAVE u feel a sence of remorse & "oh i should not b here" , U FREEKEN creep !!!!!!!!!

OK here it is.

Someone somehow gained access to one of my accounts and completely stripped 1 of the two characters on it. Before anyone asks, I cannot tell you how he did it because i do not know and even if i did sharing that kind of info would be like telling you of a bug or exploit and is not allowed. The staff know how he did it and yes the new security measure prevent it from happening to any of you

I also cannot tell you who it was, because though I would truly love to know, I am not allowed to know this either. Rest assured the person was traced and perma banned. Now for what i do know lol.

I know that i have spent almost 5 years here, I have had some serious fun on this server and interacted daily with some really great folks. At other times ive been a target in game and been literally harrassed every time i logged a character in (all within the rules mostly)

However I was no angel and my own actions and pre-disposition for going up the mountain and killing lowbies caused a lot of peoples in - game dislike for me. At the end of the day (or 5 years) when i look back i really really enjoyed my time on here, and have grown as a gamer from the days of terminal insanity and my childish reactions to him pking my (everyones lol) lowbies on the mountain to today where 9 times out tof 10 no matter what happens i can roll with the punches and leave it all in game.

I would like to extend my thanks to those who supported me while i was playing and my character that got stripped actually logged in lol, these include but are not limited to - Eve Silk of CLAD, a person whom i have had many battles with and i thought cared little for me but pushed all that aside to help me with advice on what to do and trying to get the thief communicating etc.

To ferret who heard me out while i was a none to happy chappy waiting and wating for a dm to PLZ log in lol.

To the author of this thread SIlvara, Many people Dont get you Silvara (especially when ya hold conversations by yourself between two or three of your own characters) But ive had the chance to party with you quite a bit on several characters and your great to party with, you NEVER leave anyone behind and if treated with respect are always there to listen and help anyone.

To the staff present and past of NS4, here again ive had my share of run ins, and believe me when i say how ive never even had a temp ban i do not know lol. But your a great bunch and immensly talented. To linux In particular i would say thankyou for your immediate response to my PM over this issue and the hours you spent working through it all and comming up with a solution to it so that it never happens to anyone else.

Lastly to the person responsible, i hope it was worth it. You got my gear, but got yourself banned, so really ya dont get my gear !! I dont know why you did it, i even sent you a tell while you were on my character asking you why and you were to gutless to tell me. My guess is (i actually think i know who you are) is that i pk'd you in the avendell crossing and you for some reason felt the need to break the law and gain access to my account. So it seems in a way i brought this on myself to some degree.

I extend this opportunity to say goodbye to you all. I will not be playing anymore, yes i know its a game and there are now measures in place so it dosent happen again, but I think im done, ive told several people recently that im growing bored with it all and this incident i think is just the icing on the cake. I can not be sure he dosen't have access to any of my other accounts and cant be bothered starting again so soon after we all just did because of 1.69.

So after I give all my stuff to a friend that will be it for me goodbye and happy hunting !!!

Sad to see you go old friend. I dont think there is another player thats had the cohones to be as lone wolfish as you have over the years. I think back over the years how many times we fought against each other and fought side by side on our many different logins and toons, and will miss that. A great foe you've been and a greater friend and ally. A true warrior of NS!
Its sad that some noob had to ruin it. Take pleasure in that you were worth the trouble I guess?

I did'nt have too much interaction with you in-game..just a couple incidents of PvP, and one party situation. I am sorry that you had your account hacked, however, I understand your frustration in the prospect of "starting over". On a positive note, I am pleased that the devs were able to catch (and perma-ban) the offender.

I appreciate Tash's emotion. This is exactly the way I felt too. The new security has caused some pain for a few but if it can help this type of data then it is totally worth it.

I also appreciate how violated you feel. Hopefully this feeling will pass with time. It's probably similar to real life identity theft. Very invasive. Again hopefully it will pass.

I'm also sorry to see you go. I know I've been pk'd by you a few times but always in good fun. You'll be missed. I'd recommend that you not make permanent decisions though. We all know how this game goes.. and you might actually miss it after the bad experience fades.

If that happens I'll be happy to help you get back on your feet. If that's tomorrow or next year. If I'm on pls send a note.
