Beware of Character Deletion!
Just an FYI... there *seems* to be a problem where people deleting characters are getting their database entry screwed up their other characters... I'll look into this bug tonight, but if I were you I'd stay clear of the Devil Angel for now. Also if you've run into a problem where you can't log in your character, and you've recently visited the Devil Angel, please PM me details... character names, login names, races, faction, classes, etc.

Hmmm I have hit the devil angel with a couple toons and noticed they were not deleted... I was wondering. If I notice any particulars I will send you some info.

Yep... from the 1st day the devil angel came in I tried it once on a fresh account with 2 toons on it, I deleted toon 'A' from the angel and it ended up deleting the other one.
Since that fateful day, I haven't deleted another toon out of utter fear that I'll lose a lvl40 toon or a mule with tons of highlvl gear on it.

aye ! happened to my fatty a ways back... i had to bribe zing with a case of SPAM to somehow manage to ressurect him ; but still its a risk using the devil-angel.....

Ok I fixed a bug that would definitely be causing at least some character corruption... works well on my own box, but PM me if you have any issues in the future. Note: this won't repair any currently broken characters, so if you have any characters broken because of this, PM me the login, subrace, faction, and character name info.

While this bug fix does seem to fix another type of corruption... I'm not yet convinced that it fixes the problem some players have been having.

best bet : until our glorious devs unravel the mystries of the universe ; only delete when you REALLY have to .... and as a suggestion , if you really really need to delete a character; ask to see if a DM or better yet one of our devs are online so they can oversee it ...so if somthing goes wrong there isnt a mass panic
