Just in case

Post by DM_Kim »

Just in case the fine folks or Aetheria complain that they didn't see it, that they somehow missed it, etc... etc..

Here it is again....

exceding your pk limit will be taken care of swiftly.

players taking turns trying to fill their limit by harassing a player will be grounds for max punishment.

becareful where you bind...watch your backs as you are no longer safe...use common sense when employing this tactic as you don't want me to "fix" your chars for you.

Is it now a legit tactic during a relic raid to "controll" a spawn point? Obviously the 3 kills in 6 hour rule is almost ever followed during a raid, neither by defenders or raiders.

Why would I want to count 12 hours twice? I’m perfectly capable of counting to 24, and while we’re at it, can someone go shoot named time zones. GMT+x is all we need!

ooo good point, mages are now screwed because without buffs or anything to protect them its just imp kd+imp kd+imp kd+imp kd then respawn and repeat. oh yea maybe a disarm thatll make you lose your wep that youve spent 4 hours in shadow plane trying to acquire, blah.

You seem to forget that not only is there a harassment rule on the books that you were reminded of, but that there is a little something about spawn camping and something about rez killing. Just because the bind points are open to PvP doesn't mean you get to play like a *explicative demeaning adjective inserted here*.

its not harassment if i kill everyone who shows up at the spawn point 3 times. its not like im just targetting one person.
anyway, so during a relic raid you aren't allowed to stand next to the bind point. and what is rez killing?? never heard of it, last thing i remember you had 100% immunity to any dmg when u respawned.

also, are you able to "control" the area? i remember some guilds saying "the mountain is now ours" so could i be like "im taking over [bind point]"?

no control over bind areas..period.

standing in the room and killing anyone that respawns starts to waive into the bind camping. kill and leave.

during relic raids you can jaunt in there and wax them...don't stay

keep being a smart a$$ and we'll find out some new stuff for you ;)

I am trying to get a feel for this so as to be clear. I am thinking of the bind point in the angmar wastes. Now you can't sit in the tent and kill whoever respawns, right? What about on the map outside the tent? Outside the oasis, can you sit there and kill all who come to you? since they can exit by using the dragon. Or the area in Beryn, where do you sit there? And with the coming of this "open" PvP doea this open of Ave and FD to PvP?

A few questions about this rule change with respect to raids:

so during a raid, it's ok to spawn kill a defender up to 3 times (harrasment rule), as long as the attacker leaves/come back into the spawn zone? if you kill someone in the city, then run into the local spawn and kill them again, does that count as 1 or 2 kills towards the 3-limit?

relatedly, does the harrasment-count continue during a raid once the victim leaves the spawn point? during hot raid action I dont think anyone has been keeping count of kills with respect to the harrasment rule, is this something we should be doing now (or should have been doing all along?)

per teps clarification: you're only allowed to kill one person in a spawn point, then you have to leave and come back before killing someone ELSE who spawns in that time?

most raids ive been in were all red=dead in the city zones (except spawn), so i'm trying to get a feel for what this new rule means exactly since it's a little unclear.

Someone runs into a spawn zone to try and escape a fight. Kill em.

Someone's spawning, don't kill em.

AV and FD are still no pvp, and the spawn zone in AV is supposed to be no PvP as well, as it is inside AV.

It'll be interesting to see how this turns out, maybe I'll just wait and see who gets banned and for what, cause now I'm Vastly Confused. :? :(
