NS5, and the mighty Questionaire.

Post by Senomar »

So ok. Im definately not new to this module but i have not played since the release of Neversummer 2. Yes i know its been a while. (and if one of the admins could figure out what my login name for my email was id love to know hehe...... pm me please :) ) Ive been down the road on MMO's and video games. Ive never had as much fun as i did with NS. I remember the implementation of G1. hehe. So im thinking about buying NWN2 but whats the status on NS5 not meaning to rush or anything but no forum updates since last Nov. This module would be the only reason for me to buy NWN2 :D . I almost bought the diamond edition while i was at best buy last night :) .

Probably because:

1.nobody really knows
2.there are other threads discussing this (ie: in the NWN2 rants&raves forum)

Good to have ya back. I am sure you will find enough to do in NS4 to hold ya over till NS5 comes out.

If you buy the diamond edition, do a double check on the CD keys that come with the software. I bought it recently, and the "documentation" is merely a piece of paper folded. Within are the installation "instructions", and the 3 CD keys (one for original, one for Shadows, and one for Hordes). However, the 3 CD keys should be different and distinct from one another. If they are not, then you will either have to return the software for another (good luck), or contact Atari customer support (by email only), and when they respond, send them a scanned copy of the defective paperwork (to prove it). Then, they might email you back some correct CD keys to use.

Not saying you will have this trouble, but if it happens just wanted to save you some time figuring out the problem. 8)

Welcome back Shorty, you old timer you. Make sure to study up on the change log. There has been alot of tweaking to the game since you have been gone. Spells , summons and pure class bonuses just to name a few.

Feel free to ask around in game if you have any questions, the players here are usually helpful to explain how the changes effect the characters you build. Even if they are hostile towards you.

The NS4wiki has most of the answers to the questions you will likely have. If the wiki doesn't satisfy, ask in game or make a post.

We have an awesome community here (imo). Oh, and btw, if you get pk'd by a hostile faction player, which I sincerely hope you will, all is as it's supposed to be.

Wow! thanks for all the welcome backs guys! yeah i loved this community i just got lost in the shuffle of new games. I actually started creating my own module for a while. Me and my father ran a very well known clan for Medal Of Honor called ELF. And it took up almost all of my time between running tournaments and playing CAL ( Our BattleField 2 squad played in the CAL World Tournament 8) ). But anyone know where i can get a CDrom copy of Diamond? I dont currently have the money to replace my dvd burner/dvd rom drive. :?:

Diamond is a DVD because the capacity of a DVD is larger than a CD. The Diamond edition DVD contains the contents of 3 CDs... there is no CD version.

Maybe the older verions are in Cd format. One set that had the original and all the expansions came on 3 CDs, but don't rememeber the "name" of it.

Hi there. I'm new here. How's it going?

We bought NWN back when the big news was Gold Edition. Then we bought the expansions as they each came out (and were added to the server we played on back then). Maybe Gold Edition was what you were thinking of?

An friend mentioned openning several copies of Diamond Edition at the local store "before they made me stop". Maybe if everyone explains to their local store that the game is not playable lacking the unique CD keys, Atari will finally take notice. I'll go think evil thoughts about hundreds of merchants returning Diamond Editions. Or would that be positive, nice thoughts? Heh.

The edition you are thinking of is gold edition, however gold merely came with shodows of undrentide, hordes of the underdark had not yet been released. However about a year after they came out with the platinum (all 3) and diamond edition dvd which compiles the base game and the two expansions onto one disc. 'Nuff Said.
