okies?

Ok, cant we stop with the okie bashing? Mz has said numerous times to treat them like hosties. You know they may attack you if you see a party of them, go away... lol.. or run away.. or past.. or avoid. Maybe its because im from South and used to the okies but they arent really doing anything wrong. And for the post about needing consequences the consequences should be through the Community. If MAs dont like okies then gain levels and swarm and destroy them. Likewise, get other factions to help you okie hunt. Their punishment for their behaviour is being hated by the rest of the NS player base. And no okies werent killing everyone they saw, nor were they pping everyone they saw. I was healed twice by two different okies, partied with an okie for a short time, killed by an okie, and hunted me an okie. Point being is that the randomness is what the okies are all about, making thigns interesting. I for one like them and am quite tired of people bashing them.

I don't give a toss, it's a computer game - if some nob kills me, I laugh and make coffee then respawn (just like jesus did).

Have yet to play NS4 yet due to a bug last nite, I normally play on Dor Maeglin and the Clan I play in are thinking off trying NS4 out. From the look fo the forums and from what I have read it looks great. One thing that is putting us off is this post about griefers, alot of people play NWN to get away from the kids on FPS. Some of the Clan are not sure if they want to come here now as they dont want to be bothered by immature harrassing kids all day.
I am fine getting PK'd by someone around the same level as me, but for a lvl 40 to be bashing lvl 20's just isnt right. These kids need to grow up and if they arent kids then I feel sorry for them, how sad it is that they recieve enjoyment out of a game by ruining other people's enjoyment.
I have seen comments with people saying it adds excitement for them getting attacked by Okkies but alot of people dont enjoy it and it ruins there gaming experience. The DM says that they do get punish'd obviously it isnt harsh enough as by the sounds off it the griefers havent stopped. Will reserve my final judgement until I try the server out. If it is half as good as it sounds and I dont get tortured by munchins I am sure I will like it

Okies have a bad name because they want you guys to talk about them. How skilled are they that you have all fallen into their trap? This is the same trap you guys fall into in game.

When the Okies actually break a rule, like anyone else they are punished for it. If you want the Okies to stop and get banned for what they are doing then we would have to ban probably 80% of all of you for doing the same thing, but not being in a guild doing it.

Stop complaining or I am going to start deleting the threads. It's getting old.

Personally, I think that the same rules should apply to absolutely everyone. If a player attacks/PPs or Disarms someone in the same faction, they should take a rep hit. Do it enough that you lose your faction, you become an outlaw, and the only way you can survive is by theft or trading at a neutral post.

Same thing with attacking newbies: If someone consistently attacks/Disarms/PPs folks 4 or more levels below them, I plan on asking for Divine Intervention. With any luck at all, they won't be *on* the server.

Did this already last night with Axon. I don't care whether or not he's an Okie, an ET or a ferret, he may need to be out of here.

I dont see grieving as a skill to be honest or picking on players off lower levels for there own fun a skill. Ohh well suppose I will see how skillful they are soon.

Looks like the Axon problem was solved very intelligently by the DMs. Hat's off. Now the cities just have to be toughened up.

okies grieve other players and we have to treat them as npcs?
what nonsense is that crap.
they disarm and pp newbies, and we're just suppose to ignore them?
they should be dealt with since you know, you are a frigging DM.
they ruin other people's fun in ns4 already and it's only been 2 days.

I don't think 80% of the players attack their own faction. Nor do i think 80% of the players attack 1 st level players. I don't see how a 6th level attacking a 1st level is skillfull or a group of 4 to 6 level guys attacking a 1st. Nor do i think 80% of the players use disarm to steal 1st level players weapons. Basically causing them to start their character over.

These kids are not elite PKers or outlaws. They are just a bunch of immature guys beating on easy marks and has a DM that looks the other way. They would rather beat up noobs in their own faction then go fight the other factions. Because they figured out its easier and they can get away with more attacking their own faction due to game mechanics and having a DM in their pocket on that server.

And ya its not the end of the world. If someone dosen't like it they can go play for another faction.

I am done complaining on this subject.

NPC Okies have their set rules already as we have already seen that APPLIES to all of them in ns3...

Okie Faction will have the benefit of ninja looting. killing when the player is talking to another NPC or in a shop or in the middle of something. They can PP too anywhere they want since hell its the benefit of the faction system.

Choose what you want.

This is why we have a pantheon rather than one Goddess. I'm not too worried about anybody getting away with anything for very long.

I have it from at least two DMs that the rules will be applied evenly and fairly across the board, no matter who the players are and what they claim to be.

The DMs have ban wands, and I am sure they will not hesitate to use them.

I wouldn't worrie about okies on multi faction server. You'll get killed by others so many times that you will get used to it by the time they do it!
