You know, i completely understand how "honorable tactics" are silly. If I run from a losng battle to regroup, and someone complains that is isn't honorable, I just chuckle and do it anyways, because that doesn't make any sense.

The difference here is that potions are so insanely over the top powerful that it is impossible to die from normal damage in pvp when using them and completely ruin the fun.

I personally do not use heal pots in PvP, but at the same time I don't hold it against someone for doing it.

Honestly? It is a game, if it is not fun for you to fight someone who wants to chug down a million pots, don't PvP with them, it is all about choice, you choose to fight a known pot chugger, you choose to get frustrated when they do it.

As far as they can not die whilst having a chug marathon? I disagree, unless they run off chug (which imho there is nothing wrong with).

It is quite acceptable for people to use scrolls to achieve the same thing, don't really see much difference between the two.

Hate it, love it, don't really care but that is my opinion.

Yeah. Thats the way relic events work, right? You chose whether you want to win or lose. /sarcasm/

But seriously. There is no reason whatsoever to play the "You can chose to fight it" card here. Yeah, you can choose to fight RDD dragon, pale master, CoT, etc, and when it grabs the relic it should go down debuffed. But a pot chugger that relies on unbuffed DR... Doesn't play nice like that.

As much as you disagree, there is still some choice in it.

I used to have a big issue with pot chugging such like many of those posting here and in the past, but I realised if I didn't want to get angry I would have to either A) Just choose not to fight those players or (and preferably) B) Get over the fact I don't like what they are doing and just enjoy the game.

And to turn the situation around, you say it ruins the fun for you, well on the reverse, it may be fun to them to chug or it may ruin the fun to die *shrug* whatever floats there boat and gets them happy. Always a two sides situation regardless.

Yes, chugging is not a big deal. There was and always will be some players that do it but thankfully most people don't. Its just matter of personal honour and that all. We should just leave it there.

Wow, a discussion about how DwD's are kind of tough. I thought the conventional AO/RK "wisdom" was that they sucked :P.
