Re: Power Leveling, Forced Spawning
on the trans crash it does seem to be linked to being in the - HP at some point but not dieing this is about the only time i ever see it happen but it doesent always do so. to me its just one of thoes random quirks hit the respawn and move on.

The cause of transition death is known by the staff... the problem is figuring out a solution.

Thanks for that info. I think it will help settle some things down.

Indeed thank you Linux for the tid bit. Thus far the trans death has been occurring 100% of the times my toon goes into negatives and revives.

Cuz when I get the random smack down they tend to do it when I am in the middle of combat or doing something important.Go'f wrote:Gorny; How can you be sure its not Random(tm) smackdown ?

Where was I?... Oh ya 3.5 a few years ago when a DM teleported me back to the original screen I was trying to leave every time I went through the transition. It happened like 10 times while I thought it was just bad lag or something. I actually rebooted my machine to fix the problem. I think the DM almost wet himself with laughter when all was revealed and I told him what I did and what I thought the problem was.

Re: Power Leveling, Forced Spawning
Alright, read through to page 4 but then the stupidity was started to make my head ache.
Stop arguing irrelevant points. The rule presented by Kim involves things, said many times before, that are obviously wrong as defined by common sense. Such as dual-logging to buff yourself, harming Tree Smashers so a level 4 can get 1 hit in for hundreds of XP, etc.
So please stop arguing about buffing. The only time that comes into play is when a high-level cleric would be following lowbies around and buffing them/raising them so they can survive in places nobody their level should be able to. You know what you're doing, so stop trying to make yourselves sound innocent, pointing the blame finger at other things, and twisting the words stated by the DMs. As of this point, they've been pretty clear.
Also, I have no soapbox. I have a stool, stubby legs and all that make it hard to see over the Walls of Text.

Re: Power Leveling, Forced Spawning
Actually I kind of like this "ruling" even though I have dual logged for the benefit of babysitting a lowbie.
This does discourage creating adventure parties with others, and its popularity lately has grown due to the need to counter the power gaming of others.
I hope in return, the faction deities will take a more active participation in their follower’s adventures. Blessings for their upcoming battles, and more appearances of deity apparitions for guidance would help fill this void.

I'm pretty sure tep straightened it out, and I'm pretty sure the end result was "go ahead and powerlevel". Thanks for trying to do their job though, G. Hey, whats that brown stuff on your nose?Alright, read through to page 4 but then the stupidity was started to make my head ache.

You made a brown-nosing joke. I preferred the soap box one, thought it was more original.Benjamin Linus wrote:I'm pretty sure tep straightened it out, and I'm pretty sure the end result was "go ahead and powerlevel".
