Artifacts....

I've got one pair--found in Frost Giant lair... they're very nice, and I need a second pair. Aside from the Boots of Escape (artifacts), they're the only boots I know of that are greater than level 13

go to crypts in frozen reach.

The xp isn't great but if you take a cleric or wiz with undeath to death you can get through them at a decent speed.

They may not give decent xp but the treasure drops are some of the best ive seen, including imbued mithral boots...

...unsure of the spoilage of this post...

boots of escape are a boss drop. did you get them from a different monster?

. Anywho, I'd like to know if the Boots of Escape are a boss Planar drop or an Artifact. We currently have them listed under Planar Items on the Wiki.

Boots of Escape are indeed a planar item, just with an artifact-y type of a name. The boss who drops them isn't a rogue, but that doesn't stop the Devs from adding plenty of roguish flavor text to keep it interesting

Well was wondering around in the plane of earth a while back with a party and when the boss was killed we found the Terra Battle Armor.

I posted it in the wiki but I dont know how to change the title from " template:armour" to Terra Battle Armor

Hmmm I gave it a try and was unimpressed with the loot. No mithril boots either. I don't think mithril boots drop anymore, or if they do they're extremely rare now.

I seem to have done ok. I've picked up 2 Tefloms, 1 Mtn Plate of Warmth and a Greatsword of the Orca. So im happy

i finally found one...helm of mountain or something...its weak and there is better so i'll probably sell it or drop it somewhere. too bad i got it off zons.

I'm guessing the Artifacts are like the Rares of Magic, they're cool looking and really hard to find but usually not as good as the Uncommons.

that is too funny and soo true. I have found the mountain helm on an ogre as well. I kinda guessed it was an artifact for the reason that I thought it was a level 13 but my toon being 9 could wear it. But Ive only found the mountain helm

I'm not sure Giant hide gloves are an artifact though. Are they +5 Str? Then they fit into the standard equipment progression here.
