Deputydog, could we maybe have a fund drive for a new mobo/cpu? Perhaps say all donations from time x on will be toward that goal and then post updates as funding comes in...

This may be a way to cure everyone's headaches quickly, and I think you would get a lot of support for it.

Good idea, that's why I asked if they could be more specific on what was needed.

Maybe raffle off some xp/item awards. Donate more, get a higher chance to win, etc. Post who won in the forums and such

Wait till mid summer. Id like to get closer to nwn2 before we start ns5 server plans. Any server plans right now would be for the ns4 server to live out its days on.

Well first I would like to thank the people that keep the server running and doing the resets and for keeping us whiners from crying to blues most times and for putting up with it as well. Second I was thinking that maybe there could be a no play day unless you donate 5 dollar day. To really show how blessed we are with the people that are keeping this together. Um does deputydog take money orders?

Hmmm um but the idea was good intended. Just thinkin of how we can all somehow donate a small amount of money from everyone turns into a large sum of money to keep the server around and working better. I have idea that there s quite a few members that play here. So like even say theres 30 members that play here all the time and given 10 that reads posts every once in a blue moon then 5 bucks turns into 200 right. Oh well like I said it was an idea to try to stir things up and churn ideas.

hehe i see your point BUT the whole reason that "free" games exist is so that WE (everyone) isnt forced to pay to play online games (EQ2, WOW, etc....) and ill bet that you will find a stronger community on a server such as NS4 than your would on a sleezy wow server....the admin do have visable directions on how to donate and they are humble in their approach which is commendable.

Besides Trogdorbob, many of our original NS4 players have gone to pay-to-play games like WoW. Pretty soon they'll get tired of paying, and will come back here. Its always nice to see the members from the old days come back.

I have always thought that pay to play was a stupid idea especially when there are games like warcraft 2 or starcraft or other such games and also with battlefield 2. It would be nice to see somemore steady players on as Im usually on at least 4-5 hours a day because of my medical leave from work. So I dont have a lot todo.

It seems as though the guilds of old have diminished considerabley and I would like to see what happens when the old leaders comeback. Anyway now im rambling.

Unfortunately pking there is nowhere near as much fun as it is here...I had permahaste, Red was chugging heal pots on a level 6 toon, and quickly regenerated back alive with the +20 regen or so that's available over there.
